Lasalie POV

As I wait for Heidi in line for soundcheck I talk to a few fans around me. Some had been to their tour last year as I had, some, this was their first time. We talked about our favourite boy, if we had fan accounts, Wattpad accounts, where we wrote fanfics about our favourites and so on. I continued waiting for Heidi to get back with our drinks and ice cream and I wiped the sweat from my forehead and looked at the merch stand.

The lines for food were not long and I hoped that Heidi got back before we sat down. We wanted to get there early so that we could be close to the stage. That way we had a better chance of being noticed. So, we waited for the gates to open for two hours. A few of the first ones there. We were crazy fans, as anyone who met us, could tell. I like to believe that if we ever met the band, we would be very calm but you never know what will happen. I send her quick text and look at the Hey Violet t-shirts.

Lucky me, I got paid from work right before we left for our concert journey. I was picking out all the merch I wanted with my eyes as the line got closer to the seating area. I felt my phone buzz and checked it. Heidi was on her way back with our drinks and ice cream. I had jitters about it. I can't believe how close we will be to them. As I waited in line all of the fans were reminded continuously that we were not allowed to video or take photos during the soundcheck.

I sent a quick text so that Heidi would know and I turned my phone off. I heard my named being called and looked in the direction of the voice. She was running towards me with two large cups of drink under her arm and Dippin' Dots stacked up in her other hand. She reached me and handed me a Mountain Dew and Vanilla Dippin' Dots cup.

Heidi was basically jumping up and down with excitement. We were going into the seating area and I looked to where our seats would be. The last person that sat down was the person I had to sit next to. As she took her seat I grinned because we were lucky enough to not just be in the front row but in the center Where we could be in view of the boys. Heidi punched my arm to what I thought was light. I don't know if she was punching hard or not. Heidi and I fight and punch or kick so much I don't feel it anymore.

It's what you get when you live together. She decided to go to college so this was her second year. I decided that I would take courses online and get a business degree so I could open up something art related. A tattoo shop, maybe. I was a total disappointment to my parents. Went to a private school all my life. Got a scholarship for swimming and academics and was accepted into over eight different colleges. Decided to go with a college close to home that was high quality and figured out a way to take online courses for the school.

Mum and dad wanted me to do something productive. Open a huge business for art or something. Said I had the potential. I still have opportunity to do so, if I choose but it is unlikely that I will do that anytime soon. I have a job that pays a lot and an account online that I sell art on. Heidi eats her ice cream quickly and goes to throw our cups away. When she comes back she jumps up in down in her seat as I take deep breaths and think about a question to ask. Heidi tells me hers and asks if I will ask for her if she can't speak.

She checks her watch every minute to see if its time for them to come on stage. After about 45 minutes of waiting, a buff guy comes up front and gets all the fans to quiet down.

"Hello, guys. As you all probably heard me before you come out to the seating area, there is to be no phones out during soundcheck. Turn them off or on silent and put them away. if I see anyone with their phone out, I will personally escort you out and you wouldn't want the soundcheck experience to be over so soon would you? Didn't think so." He paced the front of the stage below. "My name is Jesse and I am one of the head body guards for 5 Seconds of Summer." Fans cheered at the mention of the boys. "They will come on in a few minutes. If you have signs, do not hold them up because people behind you cannot see. They will play two songs and stop to ask questions." He pointed out behind us and the crowd turned around. "Those two ladies will be going around with mic's so that you all can ask questions. After the Q and A they will play one more song or two if you are energetic enough."

Jesse jumped over fencing and stood in his spot along with other guards. I heard screaming and stood up with others. I caught sight of Luke and screamed loudly. This was actually going to happen. Heidi was so excited and I couldn't blame her. As Ashton lifted himself onto the stand where his drums are, she started to cry. "He's so beautiful what the hell" I laughed at her and screamed louder as I saw Michael. As they got into place Luke spoke up. "How are you guys doing?" More screams. "What would you like us to start off with? Is 'If You Don't Know' okay?" Everyone went crazy and Luke grinned down as Ashton started a beat.

I held onto Heidi's hand as she cried and sang. I sang along with everyone and grinned. I jumped and danced around and made sure Heidi didn't fall over. She made weird comments every once in a while and fans looked at her and laughed. "LUKE KICK ME IN THE FACE WITH YOU LONG LEGS I WILL PAY YOU I HAVE $21" She screamed as loud as she could. People stared and I looked to see if any of the boys noticed. Luke was staring down in her direction and Heidi was cursing repeatedly under her breath.

"Luke Hemmings looked at me" I held her under her arms and watched Michael as he grinned. He wore a Metallica singlet and basketball shorts. He had kicked off his sandals that he was wearing. "MICHAEL MY BEST FRIEND THINKS YOU'RE HOT AS FUCK MARRY HER YOU DICKFACE" I hit Heidi hard as she howled in laughter. Michael looked in our direction and I hit her harder. "Heids, stop you are drawing attention to us." She looked at me in disbelief as Disconnected started to play. "Michael Gordon Clifford just looked at you, I think he maybe winked and you want me to stop? Are you stupid? I'm just getting started, hoe."

I gave her a weird look and ignored it. I sang along to Disconnected and danced. As the song came to the end everyone sat down and the boys sat on crates on the stage. "How are you guys? Ready for us to answer some questions?" Cheers echoed after each other as hands went up along with mine. As some girl spoke I turned to look in her direction, my hand still up. "Hi, my name is Amanda. I was wondering if you guys have ever read any fan-fiction of yourselves or of the others?" Calum and Ashton chuckled and Michael spoke.

"We have actually. Its super weird though. We are made out to be heroic or a certain way that we aren't and it's funny. But there are some weird ones out that are so hard to read." Luke grinned and added to Michael's statement. "The sexual ones are extremely weird. It's also crazy that some of you that write fan-fiction are getting it published. Its crazy that you guys are that good of writers. Thanks Amanda for your question."

Fans continued to get called on but we never did. We stood up to watch them play one more song before we had to go out to stands to get food and wait for the actual concert to start. They played Amnesia and I lost it. I ended up crying which is unusual for me but it was a sad song that I loved yet hated because I cried every single time I heard it. Towards the end of the song I started to blink and my eyes watered. "Well," Heidi looked at me as people filed out. "I think my contact fell out." I bent down to look for it. If I couldn't find it I had an extra pair. But they were expensive, so, it would help if I found it.

The boys sat on stage as the fans cleared out watching us all. I bent under my seat and mumbled to myself "Laz, I need to go, meet me when you find it. I don't think I'm supposed to stay." I nodded and continued to look. "Can I help you with something?" I looked up and saw Jesse. I nodded "Yeah, I lost my contact and I need to find it. They're very expensive." He nodded and jumped over the fencing again to help. "Let me see if I can find it. You probably can't see that well." I nodded and stood back. Jesse looked around where I was seated and under. "Hello, you're a fan right?"
