Chapter 21

"Levy/Lucy!!" Both guilds shouted in shock as their nakamas collapsed. Gajeel and Natsu were the first to react. They reached their mate before they hit the ground. Both girls reverted back to their normal forms in a short black dress (Levy), and a long white dress (Lucy), but the scales stayed on.

"W-We finally b-beat him." Levy said. 

"Oh my Mavis, don't scare us like that Shrimp." Gajeel flicked her forehead, making her flinch. "Anyway, where did your dragons go?" That must've hit a nerve since both girls started to break into tears. "Huh? What happened?" Gajeel asked in shock. Lucy turned to Wendy.

"Wendy, cast Milky Way." Wendy did what Lucy asked to do, and two dragons appeared in front of them.

"Serenity,"

"Shadow,"

Both dragons smiled warmly at the two girls. "Hey guys!! I even though I'm green and misty right now, I still look amaaaazing!!! Right Shady?" Shadow crossed her arms and said in monotone, "Whatever."

"Wait, Lucy-san, Levy-san, if your dragons are there does that mean," Wendy pointed at the dragons, who nodded their heads. She covered her mouth. "No," Lucy and Levy cried harder. Serenity and Shadow shook their heads before flicking the air, which somehow affected Lucy and Levy. Both girls felt the flick and covered their foreheads.

"Hey, just because we're dead, doesn't mean we didn't lose our powers." Shadow shook her head.

"Wait, dead?" Natsu, being oblivious to the situation, asked. "So that spell that Luce and Levy used," Everyone became known to the fact and were in a state of shock.

"Yes, if everyone's thinking it, we are dead. Luckily, Wendy caught us our we ascended and now here we are." Serenity said, Shadow picked up after her. "The spell the girls casted, Dragon Soul, is very powerful. When in used, the caster is much more powerful than a pure-dragon and Halfling combined. But, to wield the power, the caster must have a close bond with the dragon. We have been with the princesses since birth. We shared the closest bond than any of the other dragons. So, to cast the spell, they had to sacrifice us." (A/N: If that was a confusing explanation for you, it's like breaking Aquarius' key for the Celestial Spirit King.) Everyone were twice as shocked after hearing the explanation from Serenity and Shadow. To make things worse, Lucy and Levy started to become paler by the minute.

"Oi, Luce, what's happening?!" Natsu asked her worriedly. Same with Gajeel to Levy. Everyone huddled around the two paling girls with worry. Serenity quickly face-palmed herself.

"For the love of Layla, how did I forget?!"

"I don't know, maybe there so much space in that brain of yours." Shadow smirked at her.

"This is not the time to be funny Shady!!"

"Hey, explanation needed here!!" Gajeel yelled at the bickering dragons.

"Right, the spell is like a double-edged sword. An eye-for-an-eye. The dragon is sacrificed and the caster goes into a coma for who-knows-how-long."

"100 years."

"Huh? Who's there?" Serenity looked around.

"Lucy, our deal," Levy responded quickly and touched Lucy's forehead while muttering a spell. Black mist appeared between the girls and popped out a demon girl. "Oh, thanks Levs."

"Akuma?! What's she doing here?" Natsu said in surprise.

"Relax, not here to possess another body. Lucy was able to overcome the fake one because of me." Lucy nodded to confirm it. "Anyways, the coma time is 100 years, but since these are the princesses we're talking about, they're lucky that their time is cut by 99%. Meaning, that they will be going under a one year-slumber, if not less." Everyone seemed to relax a bit. Then, Akuma turned to Lucy, then Levy. "But anything on the inside won't develop when you're sleeping away." That made their faces turn scarlet red. They thanked inside their head that what Akuma said was telepathic. But, it reached the dragons loud and clear. 

"Lucy/Levy," Both dragons said at the same time. "Why not share with us why you're blushing so madly." Both girls shook their heads, which made everyone confused about what they were talking about.

"Don't worry girls," Akuma said. This time out loud. "Aunt Akuma won't tell anyone until you wake up again." That didn't help at all, since they gotten even more curious. "Anyways, looks like the girls are at their breaking point." Lucy's and Levy's eyes began to droop in drowsiness. At the same time, Serenity and Shadow started to fade away.

"And we have to go. Levy, Lucy, I swear if you do anything reckless like that ever again, I will come back and haunt you. Got it?" Shadow gave one last glare. Both girls gave her a thumbs up before she softened onto a motherly smile. 

"Looks like we raised them well." Serenity said one last time. This time, Shadow replied, "We sure did Seri." She teared up. "We'll see them again." They disappear, leaving the guilds with the sleeping beauties of Fairy Tail and Sabertooth.
