Nothing Last Forever

Chapter 6

" Tell me everything" said sammy as the two of them sat on her bed.
" Nothing much really happened. He came by the shop , helped me work on David's truck, then went home once we were done. That's it" Abby said. She knew Sam would want more, but she didn't have more to tell.
Sammy gave her a look. It was the " you better not be holding out on me " look.
Abby just shook her head.

" Well that's a little disappointing" said sam, " So what are you planning on wearing tomorrow?" " I don't know. I haven't picked my outfit out yet" Abby answered. Sam shook her head disappointedly at her friend. Abby looked down at her watch. It was 8:30. " I gotta go. My dad wanted to be back at 9" she said. She grabbed her purse off the bed and gave her friend a hug. " See ya later" sam said.

" I'm back" abby called as she walked in the door. 

" Hey sweetheart, how was it with sam" her dad asked.

" It was good. We just hung out and talked" abby answered. She tossed her bag on the floor and sat down on the couch. Her dad handed a plate of spaghetti. " Thanks" she said taking the plate. They spent the rest of the night just watching. Abby always enjoyed spending time with her dad because they were a lot alike. " I think I'm gonna call it a night and head up to bed. I'll see you in the morning kiddo" her dad said before going upstairs.

Abby sat in the living room and watched Netflix. After a while she decided to head upstairs. She laid on her bed and starred at the ceiling. She was nervous about seeing toby. She knew she had no reason to be nervous. " I mean it was just a guy, right?"

 *Ring Ring* 

Abby heard her phone going off, but she didn't want to answer it. *ring ring*  " What" she groaned into her phone. Sam laughed realizing that she had woken her up. " Morning sunshine. I was just checking to she if you were still coming over so we could help you get ready" she asked. Abby sat up and tossed off her blankets. " Um yeah, what time should I come over" she asked. " Well I was thinking if you wanted to we could meet now and hit the mall" sammy asked. Abby looked at the clock on her desk. It was 12. 

" Yeah, how about we all meet at your house in an hour" she said. " Cool, see you in a bit" sam said before hanging up the phone. Abby rolled outta bed rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She walked down the stairs and grabbed an apple off the counter before heading back upstairs and taking a shower. She dressed and threw on her shoes. " Lets roll" she said walking out the door. 

" Hey" said sam as she jumped into the front seat car. 

" What's up girl" added Kevin?

" Sup nerds" said abby. 

" Who is ready to do some shopping" said sam turning so she look at both of them. 

" I'm always ready for shopping" said kevin. 

" You guys are so weird" abby joked as she pulled she started the car.

When they finally got to the mall it was about 1 o'clock. " Ok so its 1 I wanna be back home by 3/3:30. My dad will be home by then" said abby. 

" Cool that gives about 2 hrs" sam answered as the walked into the mall. 

"All right ladies lets do some shopping" said kevin. Abby and sam laughed at there friends enthusiasm. The first the store they went to was hot topic because it was abby favorite store. " Abby I love you to death and you have amazing style, but I think your gonna wanna go just a little less emo/rocker for this day" said kevin. Abby was a little nervous she had always dressed like this. She thought dress and skirts looked bad on her, but she trusted her friends judgement. " Ok" she agreed as they walked out the store. 

" Why don't we go over to Rue 21" sam suggested. They looked for about 20minutes looking at stuff before they finally decided to head over the dressing room to try on what they had. Abby tired on the last pair of jeans. They were fade black, high waisted, and few rips.  She turned around and looked at herself in the mirror before setting into the waiting area to show sammy and kevin. " Those look cute on you" sam said. 

" Let me try something" kevin said. He walked into the dressing room and puled out one of the shirts abby tired on earlier. It was lose fit dark red crop top. " Here try this on" he said handing it to here. She stepped back into dressing room and put on the shirt. " Omg kevin you are genius" said sam when she walked back out, " Abby you look hot in that outfit." Abby turned around to look in the mirror. Sam was right she did looked good. " What do you think" kevin asked her. 

" I like it" she answered smiling at here friends. She walked back into the dressing and changed back into her clothes. She grabbed her the jeans and top and walked to the register to pay. They walked out of the store and decided to head to food court. " So how are feeling about tonight" kevin asked as they sat down at one of the tables. " Honestly, I'm pretty nervous" abby answered taking a drink of her smoothy. " You have nothing to nervous about sweetie" said sam, " You are a awesome girl and toby can't see that then he isn't worth it." Thanks sam" abby said. She looked down at her to she what time it was. 2:35. " I think we should back. It will about 15 to get to dads once I drop you guys off" abby said. 

" Hey dad" abby said as she walked in the front door. She walked into the living and sat down on the couch.

 " Hey kiddo how was your day" her dad asked? 

" It was good. Just hung out with sam and kevin" she answered. She got up and walked into the kitchen and made herself a sandwich. She walked upstairs to her room and turned on Netflix.
