Nothing Last Forever

Chapter 10

Abby, Sam, and Kevin were walking into the building. It was Monday morning. It felt like Friday was a distant memory. But as soon as abby got in the building she had a a strange feeling like something was off. Everyone was whispering in the halls and she thought she heard her name. " Does seem a little off to you guys" she asked as opened her locker. Sam looked at the students that seem to standing in 2 big groups on either of the hall all talking. " Yea it does seem a little weird" she said. " Maybe there was big fight between Brittany and Emily again" kevin said. Just then abby heard a voice behind her. " Well if it isn't little Abby." Abby turned around to find Brittany standing behind her. Abby had hung out with her brittany a few times when she had gone out with toby, but had never really become friends. " Oh hi Brittany" she said trying to sound as nice as she could but something about the way brittany was looking at her was pissing her off. 

" Little birdie told me that you and toby broke up Friday" said Brittany. 

Why did she care if they were broken up Abby thought to her self. " Yeah we did" she answered trying to sound indifferent about it. 

" Oh well then you wouldn't if I asked out toby. Do you?" 

" No I don't care." Abby was confused as to why brittany was asking her this she didn't seem like kinda girl that would ask to go out with a guy. 

" Oh I just wanted make sure. Cause I heard about what happened and I wouldn't want to upset you" she said pretending to be concerned and failing. Abby could the smile in her voice. " Nothing happened with me and toby" she said with confusion.

" Oh well that wasn't what heard. Toby told me that you came over to watch a movie and practically threw yourself at him. And when he tried to tell you no you said you would give 50 bucks if he slept with you" Brittany said, " He said he told you he wasn't that kind of guy and that he didn't want to be with a girl who just sold her body to anyone and everyone and then you stormed out of his house". 

" That never happened. Toby was the one who came on to me" abby said. It wasn't that brittany didn't care what abby had to say. " Yea right. I doubt that" said Brittany, " I always knew you were a slut". Abby could believe toby had that about her. " You're the only slut in this school" sam spat. Before abby could try and stop her sam and lunged forward knocking brittany into a locker. She pushed her hand upward into Brittany nose *Crack* Abby heard the bone snap and blood started coming out Brittany's noise.

"  At least I can actually get a boyfriend. Toby would really date you  for million dollars." She said holding her noise as walked off. The words hit her like a steel train and all the hurt she had felt when she left on Friday came pouring back. She ran toward the bathroom just as tears started running down her face like water through a broken dam. " Don't listen to her abby. She is a whore and is just jealous" sam said as walked into the bathroom. She pulled Abby into a hug. " I can't believe he told people that" she said sobbing. " It's because he a jackass. You shouldn't listen to what he or Brittany say bc your ten times better then both of them". Abby wiped the tears from her, " thanks sam your the best." They walked out of the bath and head toward there first class. " You ok" Kevin asked walking up behind them. " Yeah I'm good" Abby said with the best smile she muster. 

" Nice hit by the way Sam" he said high five her. " Thanks kev. Looks like those 2 years of boxing payed off" she said with a laugh. " I love u guys" Abby said laughing at her friends as they walked down the hall.
