It was nine in the morning and I couldn't stop thinking about that wonderful yet sexy kiss we shared yesterday afternoon in the coffee shop. I didn't realize how much I had liked Nate until last night when I thought about that kiss all night.
"Charlotte, clean your room."
"Why? Who's coming over?" I never really clean my room unless a human being who doesn't live in my house is going to come upstairs.
"I invited Christina's family over for a brunch this morning. So get the hell out of bed and do your makeup god damnit."
"Okay mom, okay." I replied.

I also could not stop thinking about Christina and her ways. Maybe she set us up, since she did tell Nate my phone number. Maybe she even gave Nate my address because he couldn't have known that. Well, she did do me a favor, sort of; just behind my back.

About an hour later, I heard the doorbell ring. I quickly hopped down my rusty stairs in my red knee high socks while my cream colored skirt flared around. "Hey Tina!" I shouted as I gave my best friend a huge hug.

"How are you? Any dates?"
"Shhh." I said. "My dad's right there." I slowly pointed to my left.
"So, any dates?" Christina whispered.
"I had a date with Nate. Which you set up!"
"I did not."
"Oh really?" I raised one eyebrow.
"Okay fine I did." She giggled. "How did it go? Isn't he such a hottie."
"Good. No actually, great. Nate's so smart and generous and hot." I bit my lip.
"Good!" Christina's smile was so wide. She moved her hands up and down like I just had told her big news. "So, when do you see him next?"
"Well I just went on the date with him yesterday but I see him tomorrow, Saturday."
"Coffee shop? Someone's house?"
"No, a wedding."
Christina's eyes lit up as she paused to suck in some air. "Woah."
"Woah?"
"Woah."
"Why woah?"
"Oh no."
"Why oh no." She didn't answer me.
"Tina! You're making me nervous." I said.
"You need a beautiful dress."
"You're so right."
"His family is really rich so it needs to be gorgeous." Tina explained. She's the best with this kind of stuff. "Let's go shopping right now." She said. I grabbed my pink keys and headed for the door as my mom quickly yelled, "Where are you girls going? The sandwiches are ready!"
"We need to go shopping for a dress."
"A dress? For what dear?"
"The wedding I told you about Mom. The one Nate invited me to."
"Oh right! You girls go have fun! I'll save you a sandwich!"
"Make it two!" I shouted.
"Three." Christina giggled and we slammed the door behind us.

"This is the one."
"You think?"
"Totally." Christina answered.
"It's the first one I tried on so far."
"I know but it looks stunning on you." We look at the price tag and we see it's two hundred dollars.
"Too much."
"No, it's not too much! It looks great on you. Your eyes get used to the sparkles."
"No Tina, too much money."
"Oh. I would chip in but, I'm poor so sorry, won't work."
I rolled my eyes and said, "This dress is perfect though." The dress was really perfect. It was a two piece dress with little silver sparkles scattered one by one; but the perfect amount of sparkles. The dress fit my butt perfectly and it ended right above my ankles.
"I wish you could've gotten it."
"Me too Christina, me too."

As we're about to walk out of the store, I realize something. "I know my mom's credit card number." I told Christina. "You do?"
"Yes! I memorized it like last year."
"Girl, go get that dress." She winks at me and we both run in the direction towards that amazing dress.

Later that day, around ten at night, I sat on my bed just checking my phone. I scrolled through Instagram and I retweeted some tweets. I went through my snapchat stories and looked at my text messages. 'Nate' popped up on my screen. I click on the message from Nate and he texted me:

'Cannot wait to spend the evening with you tomorrow. I hope you're just as excited as I am.'

Once I read that message, I couldn't stop smiling. I wish it was tomorrow already so I can kiss his gorgeous face.
