(Artemis's P.O.V)

It's been five days since Shadow faced Lycaon and Salem on his own. The things I heard Salem say about Shadow's past kind of worried me though.
I was pulled from my thoughts when Xi (Pronounced Zi) walked through the door. He said, ''How's Shadow doing?''

''Still the same, but that last ability that Lucifer has what is it?''

''Even I don't know Lady Artemis. Shadow's one of a kind though he'd go and rescue anyone who's in trouble or needs help. Out of anyone here you knows him the longest it's Caeleigh.''

''Are they that close?''

''They've known each other since they were young. As far as I know they've trained together a lot with their speed and strength being as high as it is. No one can beat them if they battle side by side.''

''I thought Caeleigh was a child of Nemsis?''

''She is, but no one knows who her real dad is,'' He said.
He walked out of the room and I was left alone with a knocked out Shadow. A few minutes later I fell asleep.
The dream started, but it seemed more like memories that Shadow had. (Remember god of nightmares and can have his dreams enter into someone else's dream.) The one scene that shocked me the most was the Manticore that attacked Shadow when he was at lunch. The last little bit of it had him holding a girl in his arms who had black hair, and white eyes with a tint of black to them. He had a spine from the Manticore that attacked him next to golden dust. He said, ''Heather please don't leave me.''
I tried to speak, but I couldn't all I could do was watch as this scene went on in front of me. Her eyes glazed over and she was gone. The rest played out as he disappeared into a graveyard and dug her a grave. That's when it hit me. The grave I saw Shadow in front of during the quest was Heather's grave.
The rest of his memories passed by lightning. Everyday his temper got worse to where no one would want to be around him except for Caeleigh, his mom and Zoe would be around him.
When the final scenes played out these were what recently happened between Shadow and Salem.
When it ended I woke up to Shadow, but he was still unconscious. I waited for him to wake up, but after awhile he didn't so I left him to be alone. What could he do while he's out cold. He's been out for five days and he hasn't returned to normal. I'm sort of afraid he's gonna fade like Salem said.
When I was there with him Alexis and a few of the hunters would come and see if he's okay. The hunters had gotten some new powers from select demons here which was okay by me. Their eyes had a tint of black to them as well as a noticeable change during the night.
I walked into the garden to notice several black flowers that looked like roses, and a white rose was in the middle of them. ''What are flowers like these growing down here?''

''Their the flowers for the fallen, and the white one in the middle was one Shadow planted for my daughter Heather.'' A voice said.
I knew that voice cause I heard it before when Shadow and I was in Tartarus. The voice was around me, but I couldn't tell where. I walked out not wanting to stay in the Garden any longer.

(Shadow's P.O.V)

Once again my memories went by playing every scene from my past to when I met Caeleigh to when I met Heather. I don't know how long I've been here it felt like hours, but that couldn't be it.
Everything stopped when I saw a silver flash. I thought it was Artemis, but it was Selene the moon goddess before Arty. She snapped her fingers and we appeared in a room. I knew this room it was Arty's tent. I looked at Selene. She had a different version of Lucifer in her hands.
She handed it to me and everything started fading.
I woke up in the medical center, and I looked to see Lucifer still the same as before. I got out of the bed and picked Lucifer up. I walked out of the medical center.
When I came up to a window I sat upon the seal and looked outside thinking about what Salem said to me. Everything she said was true. I wish she'd never changed into the monster she now is. The day she changed was the day I'd never forget.
