We quietly went into my room. I had him sit on my bed as I ran downstairs and put some ice into a bag and wrapped a towel around it. I ran back upstairs and removed his hand, resisting from flinching at his swelling eye. I gently placed the towel and ice onto the spot swelling, trying not to hurt him to bad. I still felt him move back some.
"Sorry" I mumbled.
"I missed you.." I heard. It was soft and barley audible. I turned to face him and smiled slightly. It had been about three days since we had a full out conversation.
"Wanna watch a movie?" I said, trying to change the subject so we don't have a emotional fit.
"Sounds good."
I turned Netflix on and scrolled through until I found the scary movies. I noticed him smirk and he took the remote and clicked one.
"This one?" I asked grinning. I am such a wuss, yet I watch a lot of scary movies.
He nodded and I turned off my light. We laid back on my bed and I pulled out a bad of sour gummy worms as the opening credits played.
About thirty minutes into the movie, I was into it. I had my arm through the loop of his arm, because it was terrifying.
Danny moved adjusted his position a bit, leaving my fingers brushing the palm of his hand. I moved my arm up slightly so my fingers lined up with the spaces between his. I looked over at him quickly and noticed him smiling, as I felt him close his hand around mine. Me and him hold hands all the time. We have since we were in diapers. But this time it was different. I don't know what it was. I haven't had this feeling before. It felt like my stomach was twisting and turning. But not to make me sick. It almost, call me crazy, hurt. But I ignored it. I must have caught a cold or something. I held onto his hand, and felt the side of me that was pressed against him tingle. I laid my head on his shoulder lightly, and felt him lightly put his cheek on my head. I smiled. I loved this. My stomach was fluttering. I couldn't figure out why.
Something popped out on the screen and I felt a hand cover my mouth quickly just as I screamed. I laughed a bit as Danny moved his hand away and he chuckled lightly.
"I had a feeling." He said, trying to justify his actions.
"Good thing you did." I said, looking up at him and grinning. I pulled my covers up and laid down, sinking into my bed. I felt Danny let my hand go and begin to get out of bed.
"I will sleep on the chair." He said lightly, fixing the blanket where he had been. The heat that had been over my body, and building up in my chest disappeared. It faded away so quick, it was like it had never been there. I reached up and, luckily, grabbed the tail of his shirt,
"Don't go." Was all I could say before a yawn escaped my mouth. I looked up at him and saw him smile. He shrugged lightly and got back under the blankets. I felt one arm go around my torso, yet it was hesitant at first. After I didn't push it away he wrapped it around me and oulled me closer to him. I felt his soft, plush lips brush my forehead as he whispered,
"Goodnight Allie."
I was to tired to reply, though.
