the angel outcast

just a walk in the park

hellisten woke up with confidence that today was going to be great . he got out of bed and took a shower, hellisten liked it when the water burned him because it reminded him that he went through hell for this town so it gave him a reason to go on .after he took a shower he got dressed in the outfit he picked the day before, he wasn't confident with the way he looked but he thought he looked okay and that was enough for him to leave his house. it was a sunny day with clouds scattered across the sky, it was a warm day but not to hot, it was the perfect day to go to the park. hellisten started his walk to the park, while walking to the park he thought about the people he met the day before he thought about them the whole whole way to the park. when he got to the park it was already filled with kids running around and playing. hellisten sat on a bench close to the playground where he could watch the kids play. he sat and watched in silence for an hour or two then a little girl came and sat next to hellisten. the girl seemed to be about twelve years old with long brown hair and dark brown eyes, her skin was as white as snow, she wore black pants with a twenty one pilots shirt.

"hi my name is liz" liz said with an innocent little smile

"oh um, hi liz nice to meet you my name is daniel" hellisten hesitated to say

"why are you sitting here all alone ?" liz questioned

"oh um i am sorta new to this town and don't know many people yet" hellisten stated confused why this little girl would talk to him

"oh well i can be your friend, i like older people better than people my age , i just get along better with old people " liz said with a smile

"i would like that , luckily i get along better with people who are younger than me" hellisten said while laughing on the inside becauses he's older than everyone

"who in the town have you met already?"liz said still smiling

"oh um i only know rachel from the ice cream shop " hellisten said embarrassed that he only knew one person

"wow you weren't kidding when you said you didn't know many people but that's okay, you should go to the the church that's the best place to meet people"liz said

"well i don't know, church really isn't my thing " hellisten nervously said

"do you not believe in God ?" liz asked afraid she just offended him

"no it's not that, i know God exist but i don't think the church is the place for me" hellisten stated

"well you never know until you try it " liz said trying to convince him

"maybe i'll think about it " hellisten said still unsure

"well if you do go it's tonight for you high schoolers at seven" liz said unsure if that was the correct time

"liz time to go home" called a voice from behind them

hellisten looked back to see who was calling when he saw it was the lifeguard from the pool yesterday. but she looked different, maybe it was because she wasn't wet anymore and not wearing her uniform, or maybe it was just that he didn't pay attention what she looked like when they first met. her hair was short but still ran down to barely touch her shoulders and was blonde with the tips dyed a light blue, she had brushed a side of her hair over to which covered up most of her right eye. her eyes were a light green with a little bit of blue in them and there wasn't a trace of makeup on her face and she still looked beautiful.she was just a couple inches shorter than hellisten which was still tall. hellisten felt embarrassed because she was almost matching hellisten but instead wearing a red plaid shirt and a red beanie.

"i'll see you later, don't forget about the church" liz said as she walked away.

"i'll think about it"hellisten replied

later that day hellisten went back to the ice cream shop to talk to rachel again.when he stepped in the shop he laughed at the sight of all the guys back at it and striking out again. this time it didn't take as long for the guys to leave because rachel gave them less time to hit on her so she could talk to him. they talked about the town for a little bit then about the people in the town then about the church but he was still kind of iffy about it.hellisten didn't think he belong at a church because of his relationship with God and lucifer plus he did kill two angels and disobeyed God but it would help him meet more people in the town. they talked for about an hour then left, rachel had to get ready for church and hellisten went to stretch his wings.

when it came time for church to start hellisten had convinced himself to land on the building across the street from the church while he was on his way home. he could see in through the window of the church where he could see rachel and the lifeguard talking and laughing , there looked to be twenty to twenty-five teenagers there with the youth leader looking like he was in his early thirties. they played games and chatted about the bible here and there which amazed hellisten because over the five thousand years that he had been on earth he had not seen a church like this one which kind of made him want to go. then without a warning michael and lucifer popped up on standing on each side of him.

"hello brother" michael greated hellisten

"hey buddy ol pal "lucifer said in a joyous tone

"what are you two doing here, i thought we had a deal?"hellisten questioned

well actually i am the king of hell not a demon and he's an archangel not an angel remember" lucifer said amazed with his clever thinking

"he is correct" michael calmy said

"okay fine you two can stay, why are you here though?" hellisten asked

"we came to check in on you"lucifer said with a guilty smile

"that's all nothing else ?" hellisten asked trying to get the real answer

"we have a bet about you going into the church tonight, he thinks you'll go in for rachel because he says she is a total guy magnet and i say you won't go in because of father "michael said

"why did you tell him that?" lucifer asked pouting because know hellisten knows

"i can't lie, i am an archangel" michael said as it started pouring down rain

"hey it's raining maybe you should go in there and cuddle up with her to keep warm" lucifer said winking at hellisten with a devilish smile

"stay out of my love life! plus it's about to end in a minute so there is no point of going in there."hellisten said

"ugh you win this time"lucifer said

"i've got to go" hellisten said as he saw the lifeguard walk outside and started riding her skateboard, he popped out his wings and took flight

"maybe it's the lifeguard?"michael mumble to lucifer

hellisten followed the lifeguard as she skated home because he wanted to make sure she made it home because it was raining and he didn't want her to get in an accident. he couldn't decide if it was creepy or fine sense it was his job to protect the humans. he thought she was actually quite good at skateboarding in his opinion. it got harder and harder to see as it rained more so hellisten flew low to the lifeguard but just out of sight. as the lifeguard turned the corner she saw the lights of a delivery truck not more than five steps away coming at her. without a second thought hellisten swooped in picking up the lifeguard without a concern about her seeing his wings but before he could fly away with her hellisten was hit by the truck and dropping the lifeguard just out of the way of the bus's path.
