(A/n: In which Sakura is a bumbling idiot and Itachi is smooth AF)

Sakura's POV:

As I followed directions from Google Maps, it was really only a 15-minute walk from Deidara's house to mine. Given it was about midnight or so, but thankfully the streets were quiet on my way back. When I opened the front door using the spare key I made sure to keep quiet while sneaking in, if my parents caught me I'd never get away from the questions. Thankfully, I didn't make much noise and I was able to slip into my room unnoticed, by habit I checked my phone and you guessed it messages from Itachi. I sighed, I couldn't face him in person but I think it's time that I at least try to talk to him. I glanced at the clock, 12:30, there was school tomorrow so I decided that I would text him tomorrow. For now I just wanted today to finally be over, it was way more stressful than I needed it to be. As I laid down and closed my eyes, I thought about what that text said, making me feel bad almost instantly.

Please stop ignoring me

Don't worry, Itachi, I won't be now. I thought to myself.

I smiled to myself as I thought about being around everyone again and all the laughs we have. My dreams were peaceful that night, filled with those laughs and a certain black-haired Uchiha.

I woke up actually really peaceful, there wasn't any alarm clock blaring in my ear- wait a minute...SHIT I'm late! The clock read 10:30am and I already missed my first class and half of my second! I was rushing to get ready when I stopped in the middle of my room, my top halfway off my shoulder and my skirt not even on yet. I've already missed most of the day, there wasn't really any point in going now, besides it was just one day. I'll claim I was sick or something, easy enough. I slipped my top off and fell on my bed again, clad in just my bra and skirt. My good noodle instincts weren't even screaming at me to run full speed at school, instead they were quiet. Almost like I needed this day to myself. My parents were both at work, they were gone so what could I do? I had enough allowance to shop a tad and stop at a café on the way back...that actually sounds nice. I looked at my phone and smiled at a memory.

Skip with me.

I giggled, I hope this offer was still available. To be honest, I was nervous about finally texting him, but everyone was right I have been overreacting and I shouldn't ignore him so I'm not. So I smirked as I sent the very familiar text to Itachi.

To Itachi:
Skip with me.

My smirk got wider and I pressed send and a few minutes later it dinged with a reply.

From Itachi:

Where shall we be going?

To Itachi:

I'm taking that as a yes you're going with me.

From Itachi:

Of course.

To Itachi:

Meet me at the mall in 30, We're going shopping.

The five minute conversation had my heart racing and I caught myself humming as I was trying to pick out an outfit. It seems inner noticed it as well, the faint snickering made me roll my eyes.

Alright spit it out.

Oh nothing nothing, you just seem really happy to skip school with Itachi. Plus you're picking out a cute outfit. oh wait back up go with that.
