Sakura's POV:
The time was nearing for my outing with Itachi and I was more or less freaked out over it. I didn't know what to wear! I was looking through whatever I had and I eventually just decided on a simple black skirt with some grey tights and a purple long sleeve shirt. Yes I wanted to impress him but at least mother thought it looked cute on me, her going awww my baby was a confidence booster I needed. I glanced at my father who pouted in the kitchen, I tried to give him a reassuring smile because I knew he didn't want his little girl to go on a date. When the doorbell rang the knots started to form again and I had to will myself to not explode as mother went an answered it.
"Is Sakura home?" Said a familiar smooth voice
"Why yes she is, hmm going on a date I see?" I could hear the smirk in her tone and I wanted to self-combust right there.
"Hm I suppose we are."
That comment threw her off guard, and me as well, shit that's gonna make me even more nervous than am I now. I carefully removed myself from the kitchen so Itachi wouldn't have to deal with my mother's ramblings and embarrassment.
"Hi!" I said to him, a my voice cracking a little due to me being a nervous wreck.
It didn't help when a small smile went across his lips and he turned towards my mother, "I shall have her back before 9:00pm."
"Please, take all the time you need~" She said to him, practically gushing.
"MOM!"
She giggled and I turn towards the kitchen where my father sat, steadily glaring at Itachi.
"You can't take her!" My father said, slamming down his cup on the table.
"DAD!"
Itachi looked surprised and that's when I grabbed his hand and pulled us both out the door. I wasn't suffering any more of that and I damn sure wasn't letting Itachi stay there any longer with them both acting like that.
Making sure I was well far away from there, I looked up at Itachi and he had an amused look on his face.
"And just what's with that look?" I asked him.
He just shrugged and I felt his hand squeeze mine a bit harder. After I realized I was still holding his hand, I panicked for a split second and quickly withdrew myself from it, causing him to chuckle at me. I glared at him and stuck my tongue out, "Fight me" I said in a teasing manner. Clearly he didn't take it as that as his eyes widened.
"I'll have to pass for today, shall we go so I can show you how popular you are on the YouTube?" He said to me.
"Oh yeah that, heh somewhat forgot about it. But where are we headed you're the one who asked me to come with and all."
"Bowling."
"Bowling?"
He nodded and I was honestly not expecting to go bowling, maybe a walk around the mall but that was it. I laughed and looked him dead in the eye, "I'm gonna kick your ass at bowling."
"I never thought of you as the competitive type Sa-ku-ra."
The way he said my name made me blush and get that feeling in my stomach again, willfully pushing it aside I glared at him.
"So maybe I am! Still kicking your butt so let's hurry and get there!"
-o-
The bowling alley was packed for a weekday really, normally I'd be doing homework but certain circumstances prevent me from doing that. As me and him paid for our shoes and 3 games of bowling, we headed to the third lane and started to put in our names.
