Chapter 3: The Date

Kagome was now getting ready for her date with Inuyasha. All she could think of were the nerves running threw her at the moment.

"What to wear... Hmm.. What's something that says "I'm interested" but not "I'm desperate" she asked herself "Found it!" She decided on a royal blue, strapless sweetheart-neckline dress that stopped at mid-thigh and black 6 inch heels with a black clutch. Then she curled her hair and straighten her bangs, adding light makeup to her eye lids.

She now waits up in her room day dreaming of how this night will go, hoping it goes well.

"What to wear... It has to say something that says "honey, I know I'm sexy" but also says "I'm the generous type" he taped his chin as he questioned himself.

After a wile, he decided on black dress pants, a royal blue dress shirt rolled up to his elbows, and matching black shoes and tie.

He quickly grabbed his phone and ran out the door to his red convertible, and quickly drove off to Kagomes, following the address he have her, and within 20 minutes, he arrived at her cute little condo.

Kagome quickly ran out the door and jumped into the passenger side, sighing happily as she sat down and picked herself in.

"So, where too?" Kagome said excitedly.

"You'll see. I want to take you to a friend of mines restaurant. It has karaoke.." He said with a teasing smirk, causing her to blush.

"Alright... I'm putting my trust in you.. Don't let me down." She giggles as he drives off.

~at the restaurant~

"Holy... Crap..." Was all Kagome could say as she looked around her personal heaven. Everywhere she looked, she saw musical items, from the jut-box in the corner, to the record tables.

"I'm guessing I 'didn't let you down'" Inuyasha mocks, nudging her shoulder teasingly.

To amazed, all Kagome could do was nod, making Inuyasha laugh. Taking her by the hand, he guided her to a table, causing that cute blush of hers to come back up on her cheeks.

After sitting down Kagome wasted no time to get to know him.

"So... How long have you been singing for?"

"Since I was 7. I was 8when I got my first guitar" he exclaimed, smiling at the memory. "How about yourself?"

"Same... I got my first piano when I was 9." She smiled at him, then lightly scanned the menu.

"Wow... It seems like you've been singing your hole life, your so good at it. Have you ever had lessons?"

"No, I taught myself how by listening to Rihanna, Linkin park, and other bands wile singing along, what about you?"

"My mother... Before she died, she taught me everything I know.." He said, with a distant look on his face.

"I-I'm so sorry.. I didn't know.." Kagome looked down, feeling guilty for bringing up such a bad memory.

"Don't worry about it... You couldn't have known." He smiled, placing his hand onto her hand that was sitting on the table, to comfort her worries.

Just then, an announcer came on stage. "Hello everybody! Who's ready for some karaoke?!" He says excitedly, gaining the crowds applause. "All righty then! Who will be our first person or pair?"

"We should do it!" Inuyasha says excitedly, gazing into Kagomes eyes flirtatiously, "I know you want too."

Without even giving her time to answer, he lifted both of their hands in the air. "We volunteer!"
