Chapter 6: Say Something

I shake nervously as I wait for Inuyasha to arrive, brushing off my plain white strapless, mid-thigh length dress, checking my curled hair and my braided and pinned bangs to make sure they still look okay.

"Kagome where the hell is he?!" Sango says, annoyance clear in her tone as she walks up to me, checking herself out in the mirror.

"He should be here any moment... Don't worry Sango... I'm not." Now that was a big fat lie. I was terrified.

"Your on right now Kags... I'm sorry but I don't think he's coming..."

Once I heard those words come from her mouth I knew, I had been stood up. Shaking my head, I stand up and make my way over to the stage, smiling and waving to all the screaming fans as I make my way over to a beautiful white piano with black music notes all over it. Sighing shakily, I position the microphone on the piano as a spotlight hits me, and I smile to the crowd, starting to play.

Say something, I'm giving up on you

I'll be the one if you want me to

Any where I would have followed you

And then, I hear it... His voice... Inuyasha...

And I, I'm feeling so small

It was over my head

I know nothing at all

I look out into the crowd to see a spotlight on the beautiful voice harmonizing with me, and I can't help but smile as he slowly walks towards the stage, the girls all going wild.

And I, will stumble and fall

I'm stilling learning to love

Just starting to crawl

Say something, I'm giving up on you

I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you

Any where I would have followed you

He smiles at me widely as he gets up on stage, walking towards me with nothing but passion in his amber eyes that won't leave mine.

Say something, I'm giving up on you

And I, will swallow my pride

Your'e the one that I love

And I'm saying goodbye

But then, an image of Hojo pops into my head, and I look away from him, down at the piano keys as I internally curse at myself. The last thing I wanted to think about was my ex at the moment. But then as if Inuyasha had heard my thoughts, he grabbed my hand and my microphone, then handed it to me as my piano player came on stage, taking over for me. Even though my hand was in his, I still refused to look up at him.

And I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you

suddenly, i felt my chin being moved upwards, and I was now gazing into his eyes again. It was his finger, guiding me back to him.

And any where I would have followed you

ohhh ohhh

Slowly, I notice his is moving his face closer to him, and his finger that is under my chin is guiding me towards him, towards his lips.

Say something, I'm giving up on you

And just like that, his lips were against mine, causing the crowd to go wild, and my hole world to change. I wanted him. I needed him.
