After their little vacation, they just had a wonderful time all hanging out. July rolled around and Dean and Sam had an idea but first they need the perfect place.

Dean and Sam went to the hospital area, knowing a good area there.

"Hey Dean follow me I know where a good spot is." Sam said excitedly and lead Dean to the perfect spot.

They got to the perfect spot seeing that it's far enough from the hospital where you couldn't hear anything so it was truly perfect.

"Okay so all we have to do is get some fireworks." Dean said with a huge smile.

"Right let's go and get some fireworks." Sam said as him and Dean left the little meadow Sam found.

"So I have this one question how did you know about this?" Dean asked.

"Well remember when Gabriel and I didn't come home until eight the next morning well I brought him here." Sam said.

"Right, but how did you know this was here even before that, cause knowing you, you wouldn't just wander aimlessly." Dean said Sam just looked at him then back to the ground.

"Well, when we first moved here, remember that summer couple years ago." Sam said and Dean nodded. "Remember when one day I was just gone well I came here, and I continued to come to that spot to study, read, or think." Sam finished.

"Wow alright I didn't need to hear your life story." Dean said jokingly with a smirk.

They got the fireworks all they had to do was pick up Cas and Gabriel for that night.

"You think they'll enjoy it?" Sam asked.

"They'll enjoy even if we didn't have fireworks, you know how they are we could just tell them 'hi' and they'll still enjoy it." Dean reassured.

"True, they're easy to please." Sam said now realizing what he said he was a little embarrassed.

"Ok, then I hope you used protection." Dean said with a smirk and earned a signature bitchface from Sam.

"You know what I meant." Sam said.

"Yeah I know." Dean said with a smirk.

"Jerk." Sam said with a smirk.

"Ha, Bitch." Dean said with a smirk also.

"Damn, we hadn't done that in while." Sam said.

"No we haven't, hey remind me to thank Gabriel." Dean said.

"Um ok." Sam said not really questioning because deep down he knew why.

They went and picked up the Novak boys, around ten at night to make sure it was nice and dark. When they picked them up, Sam had moved to the back seat to sit with Gabriel.

"Where are we going?" Gabriel whispered to Sam.

"I can't tell you it's a surprise." Sam said with a smirk.

"Samsquatch you know I hate surprises." Gabriel whined, but Sam just smirked and shrugged.

They sat in silence until they parked near the hospital, Cas did his head tilt and squinted like he alway does when he's confused. Gabriel just looked at Sam with a questioning look.

"Alright c'mon guys let's go, Sammy grab the bag from the back." Dean said as he grabbed Cas' hand and interlocked their fingers.

"Alright." Sam said as he walked over to the trunk and grabbed the bag.

Gabriel looked at the bag and then at Sam with a worried look.

"Don't worry you'll like it." Sam said and Gabriel nodded.

Sam put his arm around Gabriel's shoulders as they walked into the woods to the familiar meadow.

Dean took the bag from Sam and had Gabriel and Cas turn around. Sam watched them, knowing that they would try to look. Dean set up the fireworks, quickly and told them to turn around.

"Hey Sammy got your lighter?" Dean asked.

"Always." Sam said as he threw him his lighter.

Dean lit the first one, and stood back by the others and whispered 'Happy fourth of July my angel, Castiel'. Cas had blush at the little name.

They watched as the fireworks shot up into the skies with reds and blues. Dean lit the next one and watched them blow up with greens and yellows. After Dean had lit them all and they watched the array of colors they just hung out in that little empty meadow for a long time.

Dean gave Sam his lighter back and Gabriel questioned why he always had a lighter but he didn't get any response.

Sam and Gabriel walked around the meadow and through part of the woods, they wandered back to Dean and Cas to find them asleep cuddling each other. Sam and Gabriel gave them a smile and they walked back to Bobby's. Sam had texted Dean but didn't get a response so either they were asleep or they just didn't want to answer.

Sam and Gabriel went to check on Dean and Cas. They walked to the area, they saw the impala still sitting there so obviously they were still in the meadow. They walked through the little path that they had found to the meadow, once they got to it they saw Dean and Cas sleeping still c'mon it's like noon.

"Let's go wake them up." Sam said and Gabriel just nodded and walked over to them. They lightly shook their brothers to wake them. The two sleeping ones grumbled and pushed them away.

"Dean Winchester wake your lazy ass up it's noon and that goes for you too Castiel Novak!" Sam yelled in a stern voice which startled the two and even startled Gabriel a little.

"Damn. You didn't have to yell, we're up, we're up!" Dean yelled back sleepily.

They went back to Bobby's, Dean changed into clean clothes and gave Cas some of his which fit kinda good Dean's jeans fit him perfectly but his shirts were just a little too big.

They all went into the living room to just talk and hang out.

"Sammmmmy why don't you give me one of your shirts?" Gabriel whined.

"Because you never ask." Sam said and Gabriel's eyes lit up. "Just go get one of my shirts then, ya big baby." Sam said and Gabriel ran up to Sam's room to get one of his shirts.

"Wow, you know it's going to be like a dress on him, right." Dean said.

"Yeah, I know but look how happy it made him." Sam said with a shrug.

"Yea, true." Dean said with a shrug also. Cas was laying on Dean listening to the brothers talk.

"Tada!" Gabriel exclaimed as he came walking down the stairs with Sam's shirt on might I add that it's Sam's favorite black tee shirt with his favorite flannel on over it.

"Hey those two are my favorites." Sam said as Gabriel walked over to him to sit next to him again.

"Yea, I know that's why I wore them, you a little slow today sweetie?" Gabriel asked using their first pet name.

"Sweetie?" Sam asked with a little blush creeping up his neck. Gabriel's eyes were wide, sure they have been dating for about four years but they never used pet names, but nicknames are a different story.

"Sorry." Gabriel mumbled with a little embarrassment.

"Don't be." Sam whispered to his ear and smirked.

Gabriel just smiled and they went back to talking. They were talking about random little things then just out of nowhere Cas just spoke up.

"Yesterday was the best fourth of July I had in a long time, thank you." Cas said and Dean and Sam smiled a 'you're welcome' then they all continued their conversation.
