Hunger, craving for more.
This girl made Mr. Lewis look at her twice before he sucked in an inaudible breath.
Had the devil actually took heed of his desires?
"Sir, is there a way I can stay with you for a couple weeks?" Mr. Lewis gave her a warm smile and momentarily glanced outside. He wondered how the girl managed to get far. But seeing her rugged and bruised form made him figure out that she ran away from an unfortunate occurrence. The brunette with olive skin and enchanting emerald orbs held a small suitcase in her shaking hands. Her knuckles were almost purple and they were caked with dry blood.
The sight of her disheveled long hair made Mr. Lewis shiver. His hands ached to reach out to this girl; whom looked like the younger version of Luciana. The girl's emerald orbs reflected off a sense of nervousness. He could feel it radiating off of her in hot waves. "Yes, you may," Mr. Lewis stepped out of the way to let her in.
He gazed at the back of her body frame in lust. Her petite, hour glass body frame was very much like Luciana's. Mr. Lewis mentally snapped at himself before closing the door and locking it shut. "How did you manage to come this far?" He asked her abruptly. She took off her shoes and set them on the mat near his closet; her socks were black. Luciana loved the color black, and red was her second favorite, Mr. Lewis remembered instantly.
"I don't own my own vehicle, so I had to walk all the way." She briefly met his gaze before an embarrassed blush spread across her cheeks. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself," The brunette stuck her hand out to him, "My name is Laura." The man's body hummed with excitement knowing that a woman was willingly entering his house, especially without him using any force. This was oddly too easy, even for Mr. Lewis. But he kindly went along with it, giving the woman before him a firm handshake. Laura glanced around his home curiously and in awe.
"Call me Richard. Feel free to look around up here, but don't wander off down stairs. I still have to move some boxes around since I recently just moved in." Richard gave her a fake smile and offered her his hand, "I can take of this suitcase for you and bring it to your room upstairs." Laura gave Richard a grateful smile before shyly clasping her hands together. Richard grinned back in a way that made her feel accepted, but she was only blinded his false generosity. The poor girl was merely hypnotized by the man's electric blue eyes and his attractive looks.
To Richard, this woman was the perfect sacrifice for the devil. He had no intention of letting her go elsewhere. Richard was set on keeping Laura in his home until the next full moon came. "Thank you so much Richard. I really appreciate it that you let me into your home. I wouldn't have been able to have a roof over my head if it weren't you. In fact, I would have ended up sitting outside during all of those cold, rainy nights."
Laura had broken Richard's train of thought and it took a few moments of silence between them before he answered back sincerely. "I really do welcome your stay, Laura. You can stay here as long as you want because you deserve to be treated right, and you deserve to be happy just like anybody else." The woman before him became slightly emotional and Richard grew sympathic. Even the way this beautiful angel cried was similar to how Luciana cried. He abruptly set the suitcase down on the pristine wooden floor and hugged Laura reassuringly. The brunette's soft cries echoed across the house and they could only be heard between Richard and her.
"I-It's just that I've suffered for so long and I-" Laura choked on her own words and Richard gently pulled away from her. He placed a hand on her shoulder, staring at her now bloodshot eyes. The man's heart ached tremendously as he felt the waves of despair and pain roll off of her. It was an aura that was making him feel a strong sorrow. Richard snapped out of his depressive state and straightened himself up. Laura wiped at her face, smearing mascara all over her cheeks and her pale palms. Laura continued to weep, but she was no longer a shaking mess after his touch.
"You don't have to tell me everything at this moment, dear. You should go use the shower upstairs and head to sleep. Please, rest well." Laura quickly nodded before slowly heading upstairs. Her fingers tentatively dragging themselves along the smooth, wooden stair railing. "Oh, and the bathroom will be to your right," Richard added kindly. The man heard the door close and the shower knob being turned as he made his way up to place Laura's suitcase in her destined bedroom.
Richard closed his eyes painfully as he left Luciana's bedroom. Then he went all the way back downstairs to attend to the boxes that were all sitting in the corner of the family room. All of those boxes held Luciana's personal belongings. Unfortunately, the man had nowhere else to place them. Richard decided to take a peek to make sure that all of his diseased wife's things were left untouched and were present. He held up a picture frame of him and Luciana together during Christmas Eve. Luciana had been such a beautiful woman.
Out of all the men there were in the world, Richard was glad that she had chosen him. The man found himself wallowing around in memories of Luciana before he heard the shower upstairs shut off. Richard would never be able to live with himself if he ever failed to bring his beloved wife back. He grimly clenched his jaw and set the picture frame back into the box and closed it shut. The man briefly tilted his head to the side to crack his neck before standing up. He was determined to keep Laura here for as long as he needed. He was determined to make his sacrifice to the devil.
He had wanted to revive Luciana, for he was a mad man.
