When I got back to my room, my sister was waiting for me.
"Andrew, I want to talk to you... about Marcus." At the sound of his name, my heart broke into a million pieces.
"I- I don't want to talk about him."
"Okay, did something happen?" She said, putting her arms around me, "I think you might want to go talk to him." I shrunk in my seat.
"No, I don't want to." I pushed out. Yes I do, I just can't.
"But, we're leaving tonight. This is your last chance to talk to him. At least say goodbye." She sat there for a moment, looking at me. "Andrew, I know you love him."
"What are you talking about?" I felt really choked up.
"Just go."
I walked out, but I stood in the hallway for a long time, contemplating it. I was walking forward, but not really going anywhere. I didn't really have a goal. I didn't notice that I started running. I ran to his room, and banged on the door. It opened slowly, but the only person in there was a small old woman in a maid's outfit, whose nametag read Jannet.
"I'm sorry, the Alexander's already left this morning. Did you need something?"
"No. Wrong room." I lied, "I'll be going. Thank you."
When she closed the door, I slid down the wall slowly. It was over, just like that. The boy of my dreams was gone forever, and all I could think about was how I was never going to see him again.
