Bryana Holly is incredible.
We were at McDonald's for about 15 minutes now, stuffing our mouths with gross yet so delicious cheeseburgers along with greasy fries which tasted like present from Heaven. 15 minutes and I already knew every single detail of Bryana's life from her first word across how she slipped during her solo on chore concert and every single person including the church staff saw her panties to her relationship status. I think I could write her biography right on the spot.
"--his name is Fletcher, I know, kinda weird but he is the most amazing guy on this planet I swear. All my ex-boyfriends were jerks that cared about their dick having a great time more than about my feelings or just anything. That's why I stopped with dating and I was seriously thinking about becoming a nun-- when I met him. You know those cliché movie scenes that are like 'they looked into each other's eyes and felt like they could see their hearts and immediately fell in love blahblahblah'? I never thought that it could happen in real life but when he came to my workplace and--"
And she talked, talked, talked. Some person would tell her to shut up already or make an excuse to get out of here. But that person was not me. Even tho I barely get to say anything, I enjoyed her presence and I didn't get annoyed by her talkative manner. I was happy. It was just so long since I talked with some other girl, about those girl problems and girl stuff and other shit, I just loved it. That's why I didn't interrupt her and I kept on listening to her life story, my expression changing with all these scenarios.
"And what about you?" she asked me suddenly, catching me unprepared.
"What about me?" I blurted out, confused by tables turning.
"Do you keep someone in your pretty heart?" She smirked, nudging me with her elbow.
"Well," I smiled, feeling shy out of nowhere. "There is someone I like. Like, really really like. He makes me smile and feel like I am special, like I can do anything."
"Oh, that's so sweet," Bryana clapped her hands in excitement by this new information going around in her brain. "Is he your boyfriend?"
"No," I said and covering my mouth afterwards. Why did I say that?! "I mean, yes, yes he is. His name is Ashton."
She laughed at my mistake but fortunately didn't ask questions about that. "How did you two love-birds met?"
"Same cliché as yours love story. In last year of high school, I was assigned to tutor him to get extra credit and him not failing class. He was being all sassy at first but after some time, we connected in a special way and decided to try dating each other. That was three years ago." I had strange feeling in my guts talking about that. It felt like ages ago.
"Wow!! Three years are you kidding?! That's such a long time! I have been with Fletch for nine months now and it feels like forever but three years? You were made for each other."
"Yeah, maybe. But we had tough time too. I went to Australia last year as an au pair and it kinda messed up our relationship. The blame on me."
"What happend?" Her eyes widened, thirsty for some spicy stuff.
"There was someone--But I don't wanna talk about. All I want is to forget about everything last year gave me and move forward. But it just won't go away."
"It's okay, if you don't want to talk about it then just don't. But even tho I don't know what exactly happen, I know you two can get over it and work it out. I just feel like it," she smiled and put two fries into her mouth. But after bringing up Sydney again, I lost my appetite.
"Oh my God, it's 4 already? I was supposed to meet Fletcher at one restaurant, freaking 15 minutes ago! Ughh, I really should get going. I think I will be pretty exhausted after today's night to make it up for him if you know what I mean."
"Get it girl," I laughed with her, standing up and leaving McDonald's by her side.
"You have my number right? We totally need to catch up asap, you are such a great listener. It was nice to meet you, Braylee," she hugged me, her strong cheap perfume hitting my nose.
"Same with me. Enjoy your date," I grinned at her and she did the same while walking away.
As soon as I got home, I throw bags full of clothes to the corner of our bedroom and jumped on the bed full of excitement. I finally made a friend again.
