EMALIA GREY TALKS DEADPOOL, THE 100, AND HER FRIENDS

HELLO, EMALIA, WELCOME TO THE SHOW. HOW ARE YOU TODAY?

EG: Thank you for having me on the show. I'm doing great, how are you?

GOOD, I'M GOOD. NOW, TO START US OFF, WHEN ARE YOU RETURNING TO FILMING THE 100?

EG: Actually, we've already filmed part of [Season Four] but after the Civil War premiere, coincidentally, we do return to filming.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU HATE ABOUT HAVING TO LEAVE TO FILM?

EG: I feel like you might have something specific in mind. [laughs] But honestly, I do hate leaving my friends. While my cast is like my family, especially while we are in Vancouver, I tend to miss people such as my best friends.

WHO WOULD YOU NAME AS YOUR BEST FRIENDS?

EG: Well, other than various members of The 100 cast, I'd definitely say Ryan, Josie, and Sebastian. The three of us talk often and hang out together. I love them all a lot, and I'm glad to be such good friends with them, as they're sublime people.

DIDN'T THE FOUR OF YOU ATTEND THE WORLD WILDLIFE FUND EVENT TOGETHER?

EG: As a matter of fact, we did. Let me tell you, it was such a pleasure to attend that event, especially with such fantastic company. But the highlight of the night was definitely the cause itself, it's extremely important to me and I loved seeing so many others who care. It was truly inspiring and I couldn't imagine a better night.

IT WAS A DOUBLE DATE, WASN'T IT?

EG: I guess it could be considered that, I don't actually know. Technically, I was Ryan's date and vice versa, but the two of us are just friends that went to help a wonderful charity. The event isn't about who attended, whether it be a couple or just some really cool celeb, but it's about the cause, and the money we raised. And I don't want the wow factor of seeing Ryalia or anything to take away from that.

OKAY, MOVING ON. ARE YOU GOING TO APPEAR IN THE UPCOMING DEADPOOL SEQUEL, WHENEVER THAT IS FILMED AND RELEASED?

EG: Indeed I am! Vanessa is returning to the big screens with Wade, and it's going to be amazing. I'm glad I was casted in such a popular and hilarious movie, I love Deadpool, comic book-wise and movie-wise, and it's great being a part of it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT FANS, AND EVEN RYAN, SUGGESTING THAT DEADPOOL HAVE A BOYFRIEND INSTEAD OF VANESSA?

EG: I'm all for it! I mean, he's my favorite pansexual, other than myself. But, I do feel like the first movie in a way established Vanessa and Wade as a solid relationship, but I think a boyfriend would be amazing, as that's a rare thing to see in films or tv. I honestly hope they find a way to bring about a boyfriend, it would be awesome. 

DO YOU THINK YOU PREFER TO FILM TV SHOWS OR MOVIES?

EG: I personally prefer tv shows to film, as they typically last longer. I mean, three episodes of The 100 is about equal to one Deadpool movie, and I film about seven times that per season. I think that filming a tv show with the same people for long periods of time establishes stronger bonds between cast members. I feel like the others [from The 100] and I will be friends for a long time, and I hope it will be true.

AREN'T YOU AND RYAN CLOSER THAN YOU AND THE MEMBERS OF THE 100 CAST?

EG: I guess? I don't really know. Ryan is probably my best friend, but I don't think that it says anything about my relationship with my cast members. Ryan's personality and my personality seem to match in such a way that we get along better than most people do after only spending a few months together. Upon meeting, I guess you could say we clicked, and I'm just glad to have a friend like him.

AND FINALLY, WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM RAVEN IN THE UPCOMING SEASON?

EG: Well, I'm not allowed to say much, but let's just say that Raven, as always, is a badass. After the mess with her taking the flame last season, I think this season will have a lot more of the Raven we all love. I can't wait for you guys to see her when the new season comes out, and thanks for having me for the interview!
