I yawned and stretched out my arms. Jack wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me down on his chest.

"Morning Kay," he whispered. Treasure

"Morning Jay," I answered back. The time was 9:33 and Jack wasn't usually up this early, but jet lag really messed us up. We flew from London to South Africa for our 1 year anniversary yesterday. We always spoke about traveling the world together, and now that I got the money to do so, we were starting our dream.

"I know that you wanted to spend today in bed and just resting, but I set something up for us to do. Well, not so much me. Go get dressed and we can leave when you want, yeah?" He said, running his fingers through my hair. I nodded and picked some clothes from my suitcases and walked into the bathroom to shower. The hot weather really got to me, making me sweat no matter how low the cooler was on. I washed my hair then my body, letting the cool water run down my back before I wrapped a towel around my hair and another one for my body. As I got changed into basic denim shorts and a tank top, I thought to myself what he could've done.

I finished my makeup, nothing too much and walked into the kitchen to get some breakfast. Jack came from behind and hugged me, making me jump. Jack giggled and spun me around, kissing me sweetly on the lips. "You smell like apple," Jack grinned. I giggled and wriggled out of his hold, walking over to the fridge to look for something to make.

"Jack, can you please tell me what we're doing?" I asked. He pretended to be lost in thought as I ate some cereal.

"You'll find out when you finish eating," he answered. "Have I ever told you how much I love your eyes? They're like brownish hazel. I'm infatuated."

"Aw Jack, that's a big word for you! I'm so proud!"

So after me asking about what we were doing, he didn't give me any answer. I sat in the car, annoyed at Jack. That didn't last for long, because we arrived at a park with a colorful playground and a big football pitch.

"So, this is for you. I can't say anything, but if you need I can give you little hints," he said, handing me a detailed map of the playground, oval and trees around the property. There were lines connecting from one spot to another.

It was a treasure map. And I absolutely loved them. I ran from one slide to another, collecting the first clue. It was a weird leaf to one of the trees in the Forrest type thing at the back of the oval. There was another clue in that tree. I carried on until I came to the last spot on the map. It was a box with a note attached to it.

My hands started to shake as I took off the note.

Kago, we have been through a year, with so many more to come.

I was on the verge of tears when I opened the box. A beautiful silver ring with the letters K & J engraved on the inside, and a infinity symbol engraved too. It wasn't a engagement ring, but a promise ring. I clapped a hand over my mouth and let a few tears escape. I looked up at Jack and hugged him, never wanting to let go.

I really loved him.
