To die without purpose in this cruel world known as Earth, or to start a new life with a purpose in another world. Presented with these two choices, it was obvious what Zen Everett chose. Now he lives in Alcard, a world of games. The number 1 paradise of gamers. But little did he know that his paradise was being threatened by its own laws. Law 1 : All conflicts are to be settled with a game. Law 2 : All players must bet something that they consider of equal value. Law 3 : As long as it doesn't contradict the 2nd law, anything can be wagered and any game can be played. Law 4 : All bets in accordance with the laws must be upheld. Law 5 : Being caught cheating during a game is grounds for an instant loss. Law 6 : All conflicts between groups will be conducted by designated representatives with absolute authority. Law 7 : The challenged party must participate in the game. Failure in participation is grounds for an instant loss. Law 8 : A game is still in play if a new player joins the game before the bets are carried out. Law 9 : Failure to carry out bets 5 minutes after the game has ended will result in an instant death. Law 10 : Anyone who defies these laws will die. Because of these laws, many people have begun to abuse them. Money. Rights. Even lives are being decided by games, throwing Alcard into chaos. And the only way to save this paradise is to defeat the gods who created them.
