Jesse and Aaron were a couple who were undoubtedly in love. They were both college first-years majoring in Psychology when they met, and by the time they were second-years, they became a couple. One year passed and Aaron proposed to her, to which she said “Yes!” in between joyful tears. However, a couple months before the wedding, tragedy struck. They were driving home from a friend’s birthday party one Saturday night when a drunk driver crashed into them, directly hitting the passenger’s seat. When Jesse woke up two days later in the hospital, she was informed of the terrible news: Aaron had unfortunately not survived the crash. The crash that took her love away, also took her life. Sure, she was alive, but not really living. She finished college, and went on to medical school to fulfill her dream of being a child psychologist. There she met Liam, a man with dreams of becoming a pediatrician. They immediately hit it off, and Liam soon breathed life back into her. He was able to fill the void that the death of Aaron had left in Jesse’s heart. There was just something about Liam that drew Jesse in like a magnet. After a surprising visit to Aaron’s mother’s house, she finds out a secret that puts her new love at risk. Will she move past the struggles and stay with Liam? Or will she give up on love and live life in a lonely rut once again?
