Aliens conquered the human race when Laio was seven. Her parents were killed four years later for breaking the new laws. Six years after they died, while hiding out in the Mourne Mountains with a group of renegades, she stumbles across a cryptic stranger claiming to be from her past. He talks of promises, payment, and protection. She is attracted to him, but she can't help being wary. All is not right. Questions need to be answered. Who is he? Why is he here? And will he be her salvation or downfall?
