You have those dreams that you want to fulfill? That job as an attorney you have wanted since you were a kid? Your dream to travel the globe and explore? That marathon you want to run, but are too scared to?
I have news for you! You can do it!
Your dreams matter to you and are important. They become your goals. I know you can do it. If you set your mind to it and believe that you can do it, you will!
If you want to travel and explore, save and watch it pile up. Sooner than you know, you will be looking at the Eiffel Tower in person, staring at the Mona Lisa, wondering why she has that mysterious smile, and eating crepes on a street cafe. You can do it.
I know people will tell you to dream big, but when they find out what your dream really is, they say to drop it down some. But that's wrong. You can do it. It doesn't matter where you came from or if you are rich or not. You can defy that exception of where you are from, raise the standards and prove that coming from a less than perfect area or background doesn't define who you are as a person. You don't have to set yourself to what people expect you to be.
If you want to go to college, do that! If you don't have enough, work, apply for scholarships, do whatever you can to make your dream come true. It will be worth it when you look back on it in 50 years and are in that CEO position you wanted.
If you want to drop 50 pounds, do that! Work out, run, walk, eat better foods, make better choices. It will happen. You just have to believe in yourself and not give up. You can do that too.
You are a powerful human being and you can shoot for the stars, if you want to. Or you can let people tell you that you could never do that or reach your goals in life, then be less than what you can be. You can do whatever you set your mind to!
Believe in yourself, work for it, and then you will achieve it.
But you have to believe that you can before you start. And know that you can do it.
