As an upcoming lord, Miracle found herself uninterested in the frivolus tasks and chores she'd been given by her parents as she grew older. She understood that as the oldest, she was destined to go through such things, but she honestly couldn't be bothered with any of it. Meetings with allied villages on resources included. It was nice to see Garte every so often, though.
She soon found herself venturing into the woods alone whenever said responsibilities would come up, giving some random excuse as to why she had been late or never made it at all. After awhile, people stopped asking and would be surprised if she even showed of to them. Her parents gave up trying to keep tabs on her altogether, until a certain alliance was drawn to their attention.
"Miracle! Slow down, I can't keep up!" Her younger sister called out to her, attempting to speed up on her own horse. Miracle turns back to her sister, sending her a small smile.
"Oh, come on, Mystic! You want to become better riding horses, right? Then I can't keep holding your hand" She teases, slowing her horse a little for the younger girl to catch up. Once she does, she slows her horse to a stop an dhops off of him, lightly petting his mane before turning to help her sister down.
"You have more experience with all your sneaking out than I could ever hope to have! It's not holding my hand, it's-"
"Pulling back to assist you? Sounds like handholding to me" Mystic huffs as she gets assistace from atop her horse, crossing her arms as her cheeks darken. Miracle pats her shoulder playfully with her tanned hand, moving ahead to scout the area as they headed further into the woods, "We all need our hand held at some point, Mys. It's nothing to be ashamed of" She reassures, pulling out a torch as she goes a bit further ahead.
Mystic sticks close to her older sister, holding on to the back of the belt around her waist as she'd been instructed as a precaution to not get lost. The noises surrounding them, from the cracking of leaves and sticks under them to the calls and cries of the various animals, kept Mystic tense. Her sister, on the other hand, remained very calm. The trees had all been the same the older she grew, aside from being older and taller with each visit, and the animals were all the same species from so long ago, with only their numbers changing.
"Remember, only those of our family are allowed to venture this far inside" Before long, the two approached a small temple. Miracle took a moment to ensure that they hadn't been followed, sighing out a bit before leading her younger sister inside. She places the torch along the wall closest to the entrance, grabbing one of the ones along the wall to carry further inside, "Wouldn't want to risk the lost of a divine warrior's relic, especially not Soteria's"
While her sister only meant to tease, Mystic suddenly didn't want to go any further into the temple, scared to mess anything up. She squeaks a bit, continuing to follow, but also wanting to stay fairly close, maybe a little to close, to her sister. Miracle knew her away around the temple after all. Just stay away from the close walls.

"Can you believe that one of our descendants may be the reincarnation or even the holder of Soteria's relic?" The two left from the temple giggling and goofing around, completely relaxed. Miracle had been babbling about how amazing Soteria was, how amazing their family was for being her descendants. She was still going on, "Just think about it! As soon as Irene wakes up again, Soteria will be reborn with her and it's going to be one of our descendants!"
Mystic remained indifferent to it all, only listening to her sister's chatter. She wasn't as enthralled with the divine warrior as her sister, but her sudden excitement about something was a nice breather from her venting of stress. There was just so much she wanted to talk about in regard to Soteria, it almost felt like she was a divine warrior scholar, "Well, I hope it's someone of your half of the lineage with how excited you are-"
The sudden louder rustle of someone close caught both of their ears, the two turning to each other for but a moment before running as quickly as possible to their horses. There, they found a very unwanted guest coxing their horses to cam down, the stranger completely unbothered by their sudden appearance. Miracle stomped towards him with her hand reaching for her sword, ignoring her sister's pleas to stand down. She held it out towards him in a threatening manner, but the man remained unbothered and simply turned towards her calmly.
"I ask you step away from our horses immediately" Miracle commands in a calm voice laced with a dangerous undertone. The man gives her a good look over, a smirk coming to his features before he meets her eyes once more. It only causes her to snarl, the distaste towards this man only growing greater with each passing moment, "It's either that or I ensure you have no arms on your journey away-"
"Feisty towards your own guest? Very interesting" The man responds, completely unbothered by the emerald sword in his face. He pushes it away, stepping closer to her. Up close, their height difference was made apparent along with the nice features of his face. Unnatural red eyes, freckles on seemingly sun kissed skin, and dark hair, "I'm starting to think your parents need to give you a better lesson in hospitality" He begins circling her, still looking over her form and taking note of everything. Just knowing he's judging her seems to make Miracle's face heat up more, "You had me waiting for too long. That's how you lose allies, not gain them"
He finally steps away from her, moving to Mystic and holding his hand out to her. She nervously steps back, bumping into a tree, "S-Shadow Knight!" She exclaims at the sight of his bloodstone eyes, squeaking in fear the closer he approached. He simply snickers before bursting into full on laughter, the two sisters worriedly glancing at each other. They nod in each other's direction before Miracle takes the hilt and slams it against the back of his neck. He falls forward and neither of the sisters bother to check on his condition. They hop onto the their horses and quickly ride off from the scene.
A/n: Easy Flashback Chapter that almost got too long! Ready to get all of these over with so I can finally get back to where I was in the story. Writing this has actually been a nice breath of fresh air, and while I do enjoy writing everything else (BNHA, HxH, Yugioh, etc. etc.), it's just nice to get back to one of my writing roots. I know barely anyone reads this story anymore, but I really want to finish it because of the lack of Vylad content as of recent on Aphmau's channel. Anyway, MCI Out, Peace ;P
