I get saved by a bunch of talking books

His question sank down heavily just as he had ended. How should I responded? Everything in my brain as on panic mood. Probably I just explain the truth, that would be the best way, I thought. Hopefully. "Well, actually it is a bit complica-......"
The bursting door interrupted my attempt. In it, a huge buch of books with legs and with a huge owl cage on the top appeared.
"Excuse me ?" Asked then a high and small voice coming from the books, when the whole pyramid fell apart.
The books and the owl were heading to the ground, and the voice was no screaming "NO". Quickly, without even think about it, I pulled out my magic wand out of my coat and screamed "Manebus!"
Luckily, the charm was successful, and everything got stuck in the air right where it was.
After our new guest, now visible as tiny girl with dark curly hair and equally dark brown skin, had take care of her owl, she turned around to Will and me.
"Thank you much for saving Mara.
I am like really sorry I got in here like this..I normally don't throw owl's at people it was just....too much stuff to carry, I guess. But it is really impressive how you can already use charms!" Apparently, she had the special ability to talk fast...and a lot. With a really thick Scottish accent.
"You learn fast with three older brothers here at Hogwarts", I responded with a smile, while helping her to collect the books that still floated in the air.
While also picking up books, Will joked:
"Never mind, I would have caught that owl anyway with my bare hands if I would not have been interrupted"
"So ....I can stay here with you ?I am Serena by the way! And you have siblings here?"
"Of course you can! I am Dracy, and that clown here is Will. And yes, actually we both do have older siblings who are already going to Hogwarts."

"So.." Serena asked
"your both parents are wizards? "
We nodded.
"Lucky you! I bet you can't even imagine all the trouble my letter caused! It was, literally, wicked" "Why?", Will asked with a smile, probably he was looking forward to hear another story he could make fun off.
"Well, it all started when my owl came! I mean, an owl in the city centre of Glasgow, knocking at a 6th floor window holding a letter....my mother first wanted to call a local zoo..luckily she didn't and my little brother let it in!" Once started, Serena was talking like a waterfall. Normally, I didn't like people when people were talking that much and got bored easily in conversations, especially with strangers who I was supposed to be polite to (like those people who sometimes came to have dinner with my parents.....or even worse, my brothers' friends). But this time, I actually enjoyed listing. Maybe it was something about the way she talked, or how she was nearly acting out the scene while explaining...I guessed that she was that kind of person people called 'charming'. Apparently, same counted for Will who was looking at her exited to hear what happened next just like me.
"My father first thought it was a joke or a really weird advertisement strategy...it took a bit until my mom convinced him to take it serious. I can't believe they actually discussed it for two hours. Luckily, my mom can be really convincing"
"How did she manage that?", I asked now seriously wondering how muggle parents found sending their children to Hogwarts would be a good idea. Seriously, sending your child away to a school you never heard of because a letter an owl brought said so suddenly just sounded insane to me.
"Oh, she gave some 'proofs' of how it's always been clear that I was not an average child. For example that thing with my art teacher...." Serena made a pause.
"What happened to your teacher? ", Will obviously couldn't wait to hear the story.
"Uhm...even though I love art, I couldn't stand her. She was way to strict and always criticised everything, her lessons were like 'no creavity allowed'. So as you might see, the worst kind of person ever to teach art. Also, she couldn't stand me as well to make things even worse. One day, when she again started to explain to the whole class why every single line I drew was wrong, I just had enough and wished something bad happening to her more than anything else."
"And then?"
"To be honest, I still don't know how that worked but what happened next was that my picture came alive and started attacking her."
"It did....what?" Will asked trying not to laugh
"You are kidding, aren't you?"
"No, I swear I ain't! And it lead to so much trouble that I had to change to a different primary school, even though no one could prove that it had been me!"
"So I guess we can say your mother was right- if this isn't a proof you belong to Hogwarts, I don't know what it is", I added trying to sound serious. Of course, little magic stuff like that had happened to me as well when I was a child- only that I and had taken it for normal. Weird how things apparently change when you are a muggle who isn't used to magic.
Of course Will didn't think much about the serious thing.
"Did you make it to the newspapers? Like 'little girl uses magic to nearly kill teacher?"
"Oh shut up! Or maybe the next one who's gonna be attacked is you" Serena threatened as response while waving her wand.
"Come on, you don't even know how to use this", he responded not even looking slightly scared.
"Your are holding it the wrong way around"
Not really amused my Will's and my laughter, Serena muttered something about 'stupid wizards' and 'revenge' when we got interrupted by the opening door. "Any candies for way?"
