Discrimination for breakfast

"Uhm...Dracy? ....Dracy? DRACY!
Serena was pushing my shoulder. What did she what from me ? Why couldn't she just let me sleep?
"Five more minutes....for Merlins sake", I mumbled and turned to the other side.
"But Dracy....we have to go to have breakfast! It's the third time now in a row you want "five more minutes'"
She sounded truly desperate, but in the background I heard two other voices laughing.
"She seems to be a really hard case.", said...Maryna? Or Janet? I clearly should have paid more attention when they had introduced themselves yesterday. With a huge sigh, I opened my eyes and sat up.
"You morning people are so cruel"
Which was really funny, apparently, since my three roommates were laughing again.
"But I am glad I could be useful as your morning entertainment." Still more asleep than awake, I stepped out of bed.
At least with my eyes open I could tell Maryna and Janet apart. Which wasn't huge accomplishment, to be honest, since they were not really look-alikes. Maryna was tiny and curvy, while Janet was about 2 meters tall and thin. Maryna's short back hair really put here iced blue eyes into scene- just as Janet's long blonde hair kept falling into her freckled face, hiding her green eyes like a curtain. They both probably weren't the common beauty ideal, but I thought that they were really pretty in their own way.
"A 'thank you for waking me up so I don't come late for my first class' would have also been nice", Serena then mumbled.
"Oh yes...sorry." I responded finally quite awake. "How much time do I have left to get ready?"
Serena's answer was not quite the best:
"If you don't want to skip breakfast, 5 minutes."
"So maybe just forget breakfast. It's impossible to do that without a time tuner." Maryna was kind enough to add.
"Bet that I can?"
"You can't "
"Watch me." Quickly, I grabed my school uniform and ran into the bathroom to change. Having experience with being late, I manged getting into that black skirt, white shirt, equally black coat and of vourse the green and silver tie pretty fast. Quite a stroke of luck I wasn't the person to wear make up, simply because I was to lazy for it. I mean, where was the point ? Most of the time my face was hidden behind a book anyway. Rather 5 more minutes of sleep than one stupid back line above my eyes lids. The only remarkable problem was my hair. It looked like I just had fought a battle where at lot of spells had gone wrong.
Pointing my wand on it, I whisperd "pulcherrimae". Now it looked quite decent. Being a witch definitely had some advantages.
Coming back to our room, I was greeted my Maryna's applause.
"Wow, you actually made it? How?"
"Magic, obviously." I claimed as we all left for the great hall. "There would have been no other way taiming this hair."
"Wow, someone trained spells already! My parents wouldn't let me, they were afraid someone would get hurt....probably for a reason.," Maryna laughed.
"Mine were the opposite." Janet now joined the conversation. "They wanted me to learn already so 'I wouldn't be too far behind all the others'. Not that I did, I mean we are here to learn, right?"
Serena looked from one to other as we entered the great Hall. "You both come from wizard families as well?"
"Yes of course? You don't? I mean you didn't really seem like a Mudblood to me." You could see in her face how Maryna already regretted those words after they had escaped from her lips.
"A what?"
"Never mind, forget it. I didn't mean to say that."
"But..."
Before Serena could ask anything else, Janet had already taken Maryna's arm and pulled her over to two free places at the Slytherin table.
"See you in class!"

As we ourselves sat down at the table, Serena asked :
"What did she mean when she said 'Mudblood'? It's because my parents are muggles, isn't it?"
"Yes....you see, in the past there were many wizards who thought that...that wizards who's parents were wizards as well stood above muggles and as well muggleborns because they were 'pure'.....and appearently some still do today. Even if it's total bullshit if you ask me."
"Oh I see." Serena nodded.
"But seriously, most of us know it is just completely senseless." I added, and a sad attempt to make things look brighther. And actually, it was true tagt things were still not the best, but better since the the war. Since wizards had seen where those thoughts could lead to. Even though that was rich, coming from a Malfoy.
"Don't worry, I am used to it." My friend responded to my surprise.
"What? But how? I thought you had always lived with muggles?"
"Muggles have ideas like this, too."
This didn't make quite much sense to me, since well...muggles were muggles. All without magic. How should one be better than the other?
But before I could find out more, someone tapped me on the shoulder.
It was Richard.
"Here, for you two as well." He gave each of us a paper sheet. "The first graders time tables."
"We start of with transfiguration, apparently, then we have pointions and last but not least history. Ugh, I can already see myself falling asleep in that lesson." He complained while sitting down next too us.
"We are not even strated and you are already whining", I teased, while finally starting to have some of the breakfast standing on the table. Not that I was able to have much, for that my excitement for class was way to high. Chewing on a piece of bread, I midly interested followed Serena and Richard discussing how boring history classes were. I also recognised how Will went in, together with his Gryffindor friends. Most of them already were in the second year, like Fred Granger-Weasly or Remus Harold Potter. I least I guessed so, since I knew none of them personally amd had to trust on the knowledge I gained from the "school-gossip" my brothers had told me.
"Dracy? We thought we might already go now to make sure we arrive at the right class room on time. Do you want to come with us?", apparently Serena had remembered that I was existing, too.
"Yes, sure." I put the last pice of bread in my mouth and got up.
"Let's go!" Richard announced, and finally, I was on the way to my very first class.

-little authors note that probably no one will read, hehe.
1. Sorry, this chapter is really random and nothing happened
2. Yay this story has over 100 reads. Sounds great, but actually 30% of those are from the prologue so...1/3 of all readers stopped reading right after the first chapter, and the last chapters don't even have any views at all. Now my question: How can I improve this? Do the characters suck? Is the story trash? Is it my writing style? Would you like pictures? If there is just anything, I am begging you to comment and tell me !
3. Thanks a lot to gryffinclaw34 for voting on this crap and leaving so many nice comments! You are such a awesome writer and person! I wanted to thank you anyway but I thought it would be a nice way to say it here again with the other announcements! ♡
End of the note, Bella out-
