Chapter 9
My_Five_Idiots1D got a dedication for guessing the song right first! It was Story of My Life by the 5 WONDERFUL, FANTASTICAL BOYS CALLED ONE DIRECTION<3 I got too excited ahah.

Avalon's POV:

"Avalon we've found you a donor!" my doctor exclaimed.

"Really?" I asked with my mouth gaping open.

"Yes! And we’ll do the surgery tomorrow if that’s fine with you.” The kind doctor said excitedly.

“Yeah that’s fine,” I replied. “Oh and could you tell me who the donor was?” I asked anxiously.  I wanted to know who was generous enough to give up one of their kidneys.

“I’m sorry, the donor wanted to remain anonymous.” The doctor explained.

“Oh okay. Thanks anyways.” I said, my voice coming out hoarse.

Niall’s POV:

I breathed heavily while trying to find my keys.  I felt extremely weak and light-headed.  I finally found my keys in my pocket and I opened my car.  I slouched down into my seat and glanced in the back-view mirror.  I looked ghostly pale, like all the color had been drained out of my face.  I quietly started the car and the purring of the engine surrounded me.  I threw the “Thanks for your donation!” gift bag I’d gotten into the passenger seat.  I turned the heat up and drove home in complete silence.

“The surgery was successful. Now you may take her home.” A nurse said to me.  I stood up quickly and walked towards her room.  Once she saw me, her face lit up and I felt my pulse quicken.  I walked towards her and wrapped my arm around her waist.  I slowly guided her out of the room. She was still weak, but she was better and that’s all that mattered.

*Flashback*

“We can’t find a donor for Avalon.”  The doctor whispered sadly.

“What do you mean you can’t?” I shouted, with rage filling my head.

“She has a rare blood type. O Negative.”

‘That’s what I have!” I exclaimed, hope increasing inside of me. “I’ll donate a kidney.”  (sorry if it’s cliché)

“Now son you should at least think this over.” The doctor said slowly, concern written on his face.  Avalon was starting to feel like more than a friend to me. No matter how mean she acted or how much of an attitude she had.  I knew now why she acted that way.  She had told me her story.

“I want to donate my kidney.” I said more firmly and confidently now.

*Flashback Over*
