Niall's POV:
"She just makes me so mad!" I shouted, while pounding the nearest wall with my fist.

"Who?" Brandon asked in confusion as he saw me pace back and forth. I was at a football meeting where the coach was about to tell us about tomorrow's game. We were in the locker room right now, waiting for the coach to come.

"Avalon!" I shouted again in frustration. I'd just gotten back from the center, so my anger was fresh.

"Who?" Brandon asked again in the same tone.

"This girl at the center." I explained, not providing a very thorough explanation.

"Uh... Okay." Brandon trailed off, obviously not knowing what to say.

The coach walked into the room and immediately started explaining the game plan to us.
The whole time, my mind kept drifting back to the girl that made me so mad.

(The next day)

"Today we'll need to get in partners for an activity." Sam explained to the kids.

The kids shuffled around and quickly found themselves a partner. One person sat alone in the middle with her arms cross. It was no surprise to me. Avalon.

I don't blame the other kids. Nobody could get along with her attitude.

"Hmm there's one person left... Niall why don't you be her partner." Sam offered. Just as I was about to protest, Avalon beat me to it.

"I'm not working with him." She shook her head.

"Ditto." I replied. Sam crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently on the floor as if we would agree. She gave us a mean-looking gaze.

"You can't work without a partner in this activity." Sam shook her head. She gave Avalon a stern look and they exchanged glances.

I glanced at Avalon, hearing her sigh.

"Fine."

Sam clapped her hands like a middle school girl and I gave her a weird look. She just shrugged and then I awkwardly took a seat beside Avalon.

Avalon rested her hands on her chin and hummed quietly. I sat back in my seat, waiting for Sam to began the activity.

"Okay guys we're going to do trust falls today!" Sam exclaimed excitedly. Avalon and I grunted at the same time. We looked at each other in surprise. She quickly looked away, hiding her face with her hood.

"Stop." I suddenly stated. She looked up at me and raised her eyebrows.

"Stop what?"

"Stop hiding yourself."

"Niall we've been through this! Yesterday actually." She rolled her eyes.

"You don't need to hide yourself."

"I don't want to draw attention to myself."

"But everybody understands you here."

"Still."

"You shouldn't care about what people think."

"That's easy for you to say." She roughly said. I shook my head. I couldn't do this. Not with her attitude.

"Okay everyone now get up and begin your trust falls." Sam called.

"But I have to touch him for that." Avalon said, making throwing up noises.

"Avalon." Sam said, giving her a stern look. Avalon rolled her eyes, but stood up. I did the same. Lets just get this over with.

"You first." Avalon said.

"No you." I argued.

"Nope." She replied.

"Ugh fine." I grunted. "You better not drop me." I continued.

"No promises." She muttered.

"Hey!" I shouted.

"Just kidding gosh." She reassured. Relief passed through me.

"Maybe." She then whispered. I grunted and she laughed. It was a musical laugh and it made my insides go all mushy. (Idk man)

I stood in front of Avalon and made sure she was holding out her arms. I backed up a little while looking at the other groups perform the trust fall perfectly. I took a deep breath and relaxed myself as I fell into Avalon's arms. She smirked at me before pushing me up.

Now it was her turn. She stood in front of me in her baggy clothes. She wiped her hands on her jeans nervously.

"Niall?" She asked.

"Yes?"

"D-do you p-promise to catch m-me?" She stuttered.

"Of course." I nodded even though she couldn't see me.

"Okay." She said, taking a deep breath.

"Don't worry. I won't let you fall." I said trying to reassure her. I wouldn't hurt her.

Then she fell back and right into my arms. Her hood fell off with her and she gazed into my eyes while giving me a weak smile. Her hair surrounded her and her eyes shone brightly in the light. For a moment, we just stood there like that, gazing into each other's eyes. She slowly got out of the same trance I was in and pushed herself up. She immediately put her hood back up.

"Th-thank yo-you." She stammered.

"Did the Avalon just say sorry?" I smirked, displaying fake shock. She raised her hand and hit my arm.

"You hit like a girl." I stated.

"Maybe because I'm a girl."

"You are? I didn't know that!" I exclaimed, all in a fake tone.

"And I bet if I kick you down there, it won't even hurt." She smirked at me. I was confused for a second but it finally registered what she was trying to say. When I looked back at her, I saw her bent over and laughing hard.

"What?" I asked, a smile spreading on my face. It always made me smile when people laugh. Usually I would laugh with them, but a smile was good right now because I didn't know what she was talking about.

"You're such a blondie!" She exclaimed while still laughing. She gripped her stomach as her laughing subdued.

All of a sudden, her face twisted up in something that looked like pain.

"N-Niall." She croaked out, her voice rough.

Before I knew it, she fell to the floor with her hands still clutching her stomach.
