Josh's P.O.V.

I got ready and so did Simon. He decided to walk me to work because that is just who he is. He is my everything and more.

"Can you promise me something?" He asked as I looked up to see his beautiful blue eyes.

"What's up?" I asked smiling as he smiled.

"Promise me that you'll never leave me, promise that you will always fight for me no matter what, promise that you'll never let go." He said as I stopped in my tracks.

"Turn around," I said as he stopped walking and turned to look at me, "I'm never going to leave you no matter what. I will always be there for you and I will fight for you. I will never let go to our love, because you are the only person I know that truly cares. I promise you that all." I said as I saw his eyes fill up.

"Thank you Josh." He said as we kept on walking.

I hated the idea that I couldn't show my love for this boy. It hurt not being able to hold his hand while we walk on the sidewalk. It hurt that I could caress his cheek and wipe away his tears. I will never let go of this boy.

"You'll text me when your shift is over, right?" He asked making me laugh at how cute he is.

"Yes, I will text you right after I finish up. Goodbye Simon." I said as I walked inside.

I went to the back and put on my apron and grabbed my supplies. It's always the same thing over and over again, cleaning up, helping customers and then cleaning up and closing shop. Work is boring, nothing really happens. Not much goes on and truth be told all I can think about is when I get to text Simon and see his beautiful face.

"Josh you're closing up right?" The manager asked as I nodded.

"Yep, don't worry." I said as she smiled and patted me on the back.

"Okay, sounds good. I'll see you tomorrow." She said as I nodded and she walked out of the shop.

I grabbed the sponges and cleaned up the counter. I slowly heard the door creak open which was weird because she changed the sign to say that we were closed.

"Sor-" I said before my mouth was covered and everything started to turn black.

A/N: so I know this chapter is short, but a lot happened. So yeah, I hope you guys are enjoying this book still, because a lot is going to happen. So get ready. Anyway all I wanted to say was that after this book (that is only at the climax) I am going to write the sequel to The Choice so yeah just wanted to inform you guys about that.
