The past four days have blown by faster than I imagined. It's weird to walk around the school and be known as Luke's girlfriend, not that I'm complaining.
Nothing's interesting has really happened in our relationship yet besides the typical milestones. Holding hands down the hall, small talk during lunch, walking each other to class, etc... It's basically every high school relationship ever, and it's an experience every girl should have.
Although everything is super nice and all, I feel like it's kind of, I don't know, boring? Maybe I'm holding him to high standards to have some crazy adventurous relationship where I would hike through woods and explore new land with my "partner". It's fine though. Yea, just fine I think as I ignore my thoughts.
Luke was going to take me to get ice cream tomorrow but today I'm free as can be, which is pretty sad since its a Saturday.
I make my way to my patio to see Dylan sitting on his bed with a journal in his hand. It looks like he is reading, no writing in it. Dylan writes? Weird.
"Hey pretty boy! Whatchu got there?" I say with a silly expression plastered across my face.
He doesn't look as amused as I do though considering that he slams the book and or journal shut. In one swift motion he lifts his mattress and slides the book underneath it.
"Hi babe, don't have any plans with Mr. Douchebag today?" He says, referring to Luke with a content smile on his face hiding what looks like a frown. It's probably not a frown that's just my imagination. He doesn't care about you Safiya. Jeez, what is wrong with me?
"No, and don't call him that, I told you not to already!" I reply.
"Cupcake, you know I listen to no one." He says with a smirk.
"We will see how long that lasts." I say while rolling my eyes.
"Considering how pathetic you look all alone in your room do you want to go on a ride with me?" He says calmly as if it's no big deal.
For me it's a big deal. Safiya stop it already, ugh.
"You mean me, Safiya Violet Miller, is being invited to hang out with THEE DYLAN FITCHER, all day?!" I squeal sarcastically.
"Fine, your loss princess." He says chuckling." And I like that... Violet. I'm going to call you by that now."
"You mean you will stop calling me babe, cupcake, baby, princess-"
"Hell no I'll always call you those names baby, but now I can formally refer to you as Violet."
"Okay I like that, and I'm coming with you just so you know, so meet me outside in five."
I shut my door making sure to close the curtain laughing at him pouting as I do so. I'm definitely not changing in front of him that would be so embarrassing and I would prefer not to give him the satisfaction.
Atleast not if I don't choose to. OMG PLEASE TELL ME I DID NOT JUST ACTUALLY THINK THAT.
------------
Dylan ended up taking me to a large meadow just beyond a small bridge, if I'm going to be honest, its beautiful. There are butterfly's fluttering everywhere along with bees going from flower to flower which all vary in color.
Did I mention that he rode me here in a motorcycle? That's hot, and I don't think anyone should be ashamed to admit that it is.
"Have you ever came here before?" I ask as we sit side by side looking at the scenery together.
"Yeah, I usually come here to clear my mind. And by the way you obviously cannot bring anyone here cause it would totally blow my rep." He says with a smirk, chuckling a bit.
"No way Dylan Fitch has a soft spot! I BETTER GO TELL THE DYLAN FAN CLUB!" I say screeching as I double over with laughter.
"Very funny Violet." I smile at his new non-player nickname for me.
"What's your middle name anyway Mr. Bad Boy?" I ask curiously.
He frowns. "It's Peter." He pauses as I wait for him to continue. "It was my fathers middle name."
Oh. I look at him sorrowfully assuming that his father is dead considering his use of past tense. A single tear slowly rolls down his cheek.
"Hey, you can talk to me about it if you want, you can wait also, don't worry. I'm always here to talk." I say as I touch his shoulder, looking at him intently with a sad smile.
He looks at me in a way I can't described. He looks upset. Angry. Grateful. Then he suddenly looks at me differently in a way I can't describe, glancing from my lips to my eyes several times. Oh my god. But the moment is soon over as he just shakes his head.
"Thanks Violet, I'm not in the mood to talk about it, maybe in the future though." I nod in understanding.
He stands up holding out a hand at me. I take it graciously and stand up as we keep our hands in contact for almost an entire minute just staring at our hands intertwined.
This is wrong I know it. I can't help it though. But I'm a good person and I'm not going to cheat in any way on Luke especially within the first week of dating, even if I'm barely just holding someone's hand.
I clear my throat hoping to snap him out of his trance. Im successful with this causing him to make his way back to his motorcycle, as I long for the feeling of his warm hand in mine.
The ride home is silence , but it's the good silence; where there isn't anything needed to be said because it already has been spoken. As we arrive home we part ways, muttering goodbyes.Wow. What a day.
