Gravity Falls one-shots

Grounded

I'm so sorry I haven't updated in forever I've been really busy but I'm finally getting a chapter to you guys. So here is a gravity falls one-shot

Dipper and Grunkle Ford were down in the basement working on a some very important research "hand me the green one and we should be all set to go" Ford told him.

"Ok" Dipper said he handed him a green bottle, but it was the wrong one and Dipper didn't realize it until it was too late. Ford grabbed it and poured it in the pot and it exploded. Smoke filled the room and Dipper and Ford were both coughing harshly. Hearing the explosion from the basement, Stan and Mabel rushed down there to see what happened and if they were ok.

"What happened!?" Stan asked 

"Is everyone ok" Mable asked looking around the room to try and find the silhouettes of Dipper and Ford.

"We're alright, but something must've gone wrong" Ford said "Dipper did you give me the right one?" he asked the boy.

"I think so" Dipper answered "this is the one you told me to use, right?" he asked.

"No this is" Ford answered and picked up a different one.

"Alright get upstairs you're grounded" Stan demanded

"What? It was just a mistake!" Dipper exclaimed "and I'll clean it up" he said his eyes darting back and forth between Stan and Ford.

"For once I agree with Stanly, you could've been severely hurt and I can't have that happen" Ford agreed.

"Upstairs, now!" he demanded

"But-" he started.

"No buts, except yours upstairs" Stan said. Dipper sighed and made his way upstairs with Mabel in tow.

The twins were up in the attic "you ok?" Mabel asked Dipper had been pacing in the attic since he had been grounded.

"There has to be a way to get me ungrounded, right? I mean there must be something I can do" he said pacing faster.

"Maybe do some extra chores or something" she suggested.

"That's it, you're a genius Mabel" Dipper said and ran downstairs.

"Your welcome....I guess" Mabel answered and went to knit a new sweater.

Stan was in the living room watching t.v since the shack had already closed  for today "Grunkle Stan what do you need done?" Dipper asked as he came into the room.

"Well you could do the dishes I guess" Stan said

"Ok" Dipper said and made his way to the kitchen. He was half-way done when he accidentally dropped a plate and then knocked off a couple other dishes in the process of trying to grab the plate. Stan came in and saw what he did.

"Go upstairs" he barked. He was going to say he could clean it up, but decided against it and slowly made his way upstairs.

Mabel watched Dipper slowly enter the room "didn't go well I'm guessing" she asked

"Not at all, I only got myself in more trouble" he mumbled and flopped down on his bed

"You know time flys so you'll be ungrounded in no time she said trying to make him feel better

Mabel was right time just flew by it was two weeks later and Dipper was down in the basement with Ford again and taking extra precautions and making sure he had the right things this time.
