K's POV
It's really quite overwhelming. This... Kira case is requiring something that I do not wish to give. I decided not to get involved ,but I don't think I have a choice anymore. The whole region is upset with me. They have good reason. I live in the Chubu region ,and ever since the criminals have started dying here people have been yelling at me to work with L and solve this case. The problem is L and I don't get along ,and I don't wish to speak with him. I was being selfish ,but I guess L and I have to set aside our differences. "Ms.K I suggest you make an announcement and contact Mr. L."
Elizabeth said to me. Elizabeth is my assistant ,or buttler..... maybe both... regardless, She may work for me but I treat her with respect and consider her a friend.
" I know.... please prepare for a live broadcast and make sure it reaches Kanto." I said. Elizabeth went to get my microphone, and set up a broadcast. As soon as we were live I started to speak. "Hello everyone. I have an important announcement to make. I'm sure you are aware of the recent spread of the Kira case. I have been asked by people all over Chubu to take part in catching Kira. I am all for justice and catching Kira ,but it took me this long to join the investigation because I would unavoidably have to work with L, the top detective in Kanto. L and I don't get along well ,but I'm willing to set aside my differences and selfishness to find Kira and apprehend him. I suppose this is also a little invitation for L as well. If he's willing to work with me, I'm willing to work with him. That is all, goodbye."
I stop the broadcast and start researching. A few minutes later I received a call from L. "Hello this is K." I respond. "Hello K. I got your message. I'm willing to work with you. I'm just hoping you won't have a poor attitude." He scoffed. "I'm going to try and stay positive, but I'm not making promises." I said with annoyance present in my voice. "Are you going to fly here or...?" He asked, getting down to business. "I don't mind flying." I responded picking at my fingers. "Alright then it's settled. Could you fly out tomorrow?" He asked. "Fine." I grumbled. "Cut the attitude please Ms.K, I don't want to do this anymore than you." L growled back. "Alright let's at least agree to keep it civil over the phone. I'll be there tomorrow just like you requested." I mock. "Good. Bye."
He says and immediately hangs up after. I send him a text.
K: I'd appreciate if you didn't hang up on me.
L: I don't care what you want.
I don't respond ,but book a flight instead.
"Elizabeth, please pack for around a year. This may take a while."
I announced. "Yes ma'am." I decided to continue to research this case to be well prepared for tomorrow. I could get rest on the plane if needed.
