Chapter 18

(Y/N)'s POV:

I leave the house still feeling the burning sensation on my cheeks. Since when do I get this flustered over a guy?

Yoon Gi holds his arm out, smirks and says, "Grab my arm, It's the proper thing to do on a date with your boyfriend."

"There's one problem there, we're not together," I say trying to hide my blush.

Yoon Gi looks displeased. "May I remind you I'm your future husband?"

"I thought you didn't want us to be together," it hurts to say it out loud, but it's true.

"That's a whole story that I don't want to talk about," he says grimly.

I decide to interlock my arm with his, he looks at me and smiles. I gaze at his face. He's so handsome. He may be a jerk sometimes, but he's not that bad. Especially when he's being sweet.

"(Y/N)?" I'm snapped out of my thoughts by Yoon Gi flicking my forehead.

"Hey!"

"You weren't listening," he smiles.

"Let's just go," just when I started to acknowledge his handsomeness he does that.

Min Yoon Gi, you can be a real pain sometimes!

He'd probably have some comeback if I ever said that out loud.

"M'lady," the driver says as he opens the car door.

"Hobi?! What are you doing here?" I asked surprised.

"I'm here to make sure he doesn't mess this up before we even get to the restaurant," he whispers.

I laugh, but Yoon Gi says, "Too close," and pushes me into the car.

"I can get in myself." This guy needs to relax.

"Let's just go," he gets into the car and Ho Seok starts driving to the restaurant.

Yoon Gi's POV:

I silently gaze at (Y/N). Her blushing face is adorable. She looks so beautiful. I mean, she always looks beautiful, but today she looks amazing.

The moment I realize what I'm thinking, I slap myself to get out of my thoughts.

(Y/N) looks at me bewildered.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just distracted," I say flustered. I'm sure she noticed it. "Hey, uh, can we talk before we get to the restaurant? Just a bit."

"Sure," she sounds slightly uneasy.

"J-Hope, can you stop for a bit near the park?"

"Sure!" J-Hope says with a smirk.

(Y/N)'s POV:

"Yoon Gi, what's wrong?" I ask nervously.

"Just follow me," he says and gets out of the car.

When I get out, he stands directly in front of me.

"Take it," he says as he holds his hands up. I look at him feeling the burning sensation on my cheeks. He smiles at me. I slowly raise my hand and put it over his. Yoon Gi intertwines his fingers with mine.

"Just follow me," he says, again.

I walk next to him looking down, too embarrassed to look at him.

"Look up, the stars look nice," he says.

I look up. He's right! The stars do look beautiful.

Yoon Gi hugs me and kisses my forehead. He then buried his head on my shoulder and hugged me tightly. I gently put my head on his shoulder.

"I like you."

What?!

He likes me too?!

"I-" I want to tell him that I like him, but I freeze when he kisses my cheek.

"Listen, we're stuck in this arranged marriage, but I want to do this properly."

"Do what?"

"(Y/N), would you like to go on a date with me?"

I smile at Yoon Gi, "Yes."

He gives me a bright smile and hugs me again.

"Yoon Gi?"

"Yes?"

"I like you too."

He breaks the hug. Without warning, he pecks my lips.

I'm so flustered that I don't know how to react.

"Let's go back," he smiles and intertwined our hands again.
