Essence P.O.V.

I can feel the crunching of my feet as I'm running. I can hear  my heart beating in my ears. But why? Why am I running? What's that beautiful sound? I stop to look behind me. Shadows...

I'm awaken by a blood curling scream. I quickly close my mouth after realizing it's me. I started to cry. After a few minutes of useless tears, I stop. This bed feels to comfortable to be my own. The spread is a pretty deep blue satin. Looking around, the whole room is filled with different hues of blues. It reminds me of the sea, a home that no mermaid gets to see without the shadows.

Pulling off the wonderful fabric from my body, I step onto plush sky blue carpet. I start for the door but my body starts to protest and I collapse on the floor. I have no will to get up, so I don't. Hearing footsteps alarms me. The door slowly swings open as if to be cautious and in steps a woman.

"I thought I heard noises."

"Sorry." Is my brilliant reply.

"No need for apologies. You look miserable. Come on let's do something about those cuts and bruises." I watch her as she walks-no glides out of the room. I shortly follow after, making sure to keep a safe distance. She leads me into a dimly lit living room.

There's a Victorian style fireplace, a modern chandelier in the center of the ceiling, red hardwood flooring, and comfortable black couches. The room is any and everything, but hideous. The woman comes back with a bowl of some type of jelly that looks cloudy. I feel disappointed. While I was looking around, I failed to notice that she even left.

"Here drink this." I stare at her like she has six heads.

"Like hell I'm gonna drink that. I don't even know you, this could be poison for all I know."

She studied me for a moment before saying, "My name is Isa, I'm a bargain witch. And that mixture is diluted venom. It will numb the pain while it slowly heals you. Besides if I wanted to kill you I would have a long time ago. And even if it was poison I'm sure you would gladly drink it." I stare at Isa with her pin straight dirty blonde hair and her killer ice blue eyes. I lift the bowl to my lips to only taste lime salt and licorice.

A/N: Hey guys! I know I kind of abandoned this story for a while, my excuse is...I got nothing. But I'm truly sorry and I'll be updating more. Thx for reading. Vote and/or comment.
