Riley's POV

"So, what's the plan?" Zoey asked.

"I think we need to get to the other side, grab the medal and get out of here," Ivan said.

"It did say just run," Jef agreed.

Shen said, "If there was a safer way of doing this then I would do that instead but there isn't."

"I'll go first," Ivan volunteered.

"Are you sure-" Jef started but Ivan had already stepped on the tile.

Just then, the ground started to shake and Ivan took off running through the tiles. The tiles he stepped on had fallen away.

"Quick, follow him," Irene yelled.

Everyone followed him and Riley felt the tiles crumble underneath her. Up ahead, Ivan had reached where the statues with battle axes were. The battle axes started dropping and blades ran across the floor. Swinging axes appeared from the ceiling and a wall had started to slowly go down, blocking the way to the medal. She watched as Ivan dodged the swinging axes and blades and safely reached the other side. The others quickly dodged and ran after him. Riley felt a rush if air and gasped as the axe sliced through the air in front of her. Everyone had reached the wall but Riley was still running. The wall was nearing the ground. Riley took a deep breath and slid through just as the wall had closed behind her.

"Riley, are you okay?" Ivan asked, helping her up.

"Barely," Riley answered shakily.

"That was incredible," Zoey exclaimed, "We thought you weren't going to make it."

Riley looked at his father who looked back at her with pride and approval, "Incredible indeed."

"Well, we got part one done," Jef said, pointing at something, "Now part two."

Riley looked to where he was pointing. Right there was Shai Lu Man's medal.

Zoron's POV

They were running through the tunnels with the Many chasing after them.

"What do we do?" George asked, "They're just going to keep on chasing us."

"Just run," Haley replied.

Just then, Zoron spotted a rock above them that looked like it was about to fall. He called out Lazu who came out much longer than expected because of the weakening bonds.

"Lazu, loosen the rock up there," Zoron said, pointing up.

Lazu quickly flew up and started hitting the rock. The big rock fell right in front of the Many but others were already climbing over the rock.

"They won't give up," Hope yelled.

"Keep running," Zoron said.

They rounded a corner and stopped as they reached a dead end.

"Not again," John exclaimed.

Haley didn't speak and grabbed a rope with a hook on the end. Then she threw it up and the rope went into a hole which was high up.

"Quick, we need to climb," Haley said, and started climbing up the rope.

George climbed after her, followed by Hope. Zoron went up next, hearing the scuttling sounds getting closer.

"Eilene go," John said.

"That didn't end up well last time," Eilene snapped, "So get up there before I make you."

John reluctantly started climbing up and as soon as the Many came into view, Eilene had shot right up the rope, almost pushing John up and into the hole. They sat there, catching their breaths for a moment. He looked over at Eilene who was looking at the Many, her eyes wide with fear.

"Are you okay?" John asked.

"Y-Yeah, i'm fine," Eilene answered shakily.

"We can see that you're not fine," John said, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong," she snapped, "Now let's get out of here. Those creatures won't stop until they get what they want."

"Yes, she's right," Haley said, "Quick, follow me."

Jef's POV

Right on the wall was a big, golden medal. It was beautiful, perfectly round and in the middle was a picture of a couple of stars. Jef started to reach for the medal when Ivan slapped his hand away.

"Ow," Jef cried, "Why did you slap me?"

"Wait, don't do anything just yet," Shen said, "It might be another trap."

"Exactly," Ivan snapped.

"Did you have to slap me that hard?" Jef retorted.

"What else can we do?" Zoey asked, "It just said just run."

"I think we need to grab the medal and run through there," Riley pointed.

Jef looked to where she pointed and saw another hallway.

"My Spirit Animal is Breeze the cheetah," Jef volunteered, "So I should be the one to get the medal and run since i'm the fastest while you guys start running."

"I'm not sure," Ivan said, uncertainly.

"Stop worrying about me," Jef reassured him, "I'll be fine and I bet I can reach the end of that hallway before you."

Ivan broke into a grin, "Challenge accepted."

"Be careful," Zoey told him.

"I'm always careful," Jef replied.

"Sure you are," Irene mumbled, sarcastically.

He waited until the others were a good distance from him. He summoned Breeze which took a while because of the weakening bonds.

"Breeze, I need your speed please," Jef said.

Breeze rubbed his leg which Jef took as a sign that he agreed. Jef took a deep breath, then snatched the medal from the wall and dashed through the hallway. He felt the whole building shake making him run even faster. He could see the others running a few distance away but he was rapidly catching up. Just when he was about to reach them, they abruptly stopped but Jef was too fast to slow down and had crashed into them.

Then he was falling and landed on a wooden surface with the others. He sat up, groaned, looked around, and gasped. They were on a wooden canoe, big enough to fit all of them and they were headed straight towards a waterfall.

"Hey, so you did catch up," Ivan said.

"Way to go for being careful," Zoey muttered, "Now we're headed straight towards a waterfall!"

Jef chuckled nervously and before he could reply, the canoe tilted forwards and they were screaming, plunging down the waterfall.

At least they got the medal, right? Please vote and leave a comment down below on what you guys think. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
