Hey guys, just so you know, I updated Spirit Animal Ships Love Stories (I keep changing the title) so please check that out.

I also added another part to "Ten Keepers" book one so check that out as well.

Jef's POV

A black egg with a crack on its side was encased in huge roots that seem to come from a huge tree. Then a glittering staff, the Staff of Cycles glittered at night with a lone star shining above. The star broke into two, one sinking deep underground while the other stayed above.

"Jef," Jef jolted awake at the sound of Zoey's voice, "Wake up. We've reached the Place of Desolation."

"We have?" Jef yawned, tired.

"That's what I said," Zoey replied, "So get ready."

As she started walking towards the door, Jef stopped her, "Zoey, wait."

She looked back questioningly as Jef hesitated. Sure he had weird dreams but this dream seemed much weirder that he needed to tell someone about it.

"I had this weird dream," Jef explained and told her all about the dream.

As he kept on telling, her eyes grew wider with surprise but she didn't interrupt.

Once he was finished, Zoey spoke uncertainly, "I had the same dream last night. Irene also told me that she had the same dream as well."

"Weird," Jef murmured, "If the three of us had it, maybe Riley and Ivan had them as well."

"But what do you think it means?" Zoey asked, "Why did we all have the same dream on the same night?"

Eilene's POV

(Happened at the same time when John was fighting one of the Many)

A black egg with a crack on its side, encased deep in the Evertree's roots. Of course Eilene knew what it was, she had seen the picture in the book. Then a glittering staff appeared, the Staff of Cycles no doubt. A lone star in the night sky split in half, one goes underground while one stays above.

What are you trying to show me? She thought.

Then, she felt footsteps coming closer and closer. She jolted awake and rolled away just in time as a sword sliced at her. She quickly got up and her eyes widened as she saw John, his sword in his hands.

"John," Eilene exclaimed, and the others quickly woke up, confused and startled.

John eyes were blank with hatred as he striked again. Eilene barely dodged but quickly got up. Just then, John had kicked her back hard and she landed beside her staff.

"John what are you doing?" George exclaimed, trying to grab him but he shook him off and ran towards her again.

Eilene quickly grabbed her staff and rolled away. Then she swiped hard, making the sword fall out of his hands. She didn't have time to react when John had launched himself at her, grabbing the staff with such force that she was pushed back, hitting the very edge of the boat. John swiped hard but she managed to duck in time. But then, John had swiped the staff back again and it hit her head hard, sending her falling off the boat. She felt herself hit the water and she tried to swim back up but her vision was blurring until it went black.

John's POV

He just stared in shock at Eilene who was unconcious. He hadn't been fighting one of the Many. He had been fighting Eilene!

"What have I done?" John whispered.

You're a monster, a voice whispered into his head.

No, no, no, John thought.

You almost killed her, the voice said again, You're no Keeper. You're a monster.

"John," he hadn't realized that George was saying his name, "John."

"W-What?" John stammered.

"Look," George said, softly, "What happened back then, it wasn't your fault okay? It was the Wyrm's fault."

"Yeah but I let the Wyrm do it," John muttered, "I almost... I could've killed her..."

"But you didn't," George replied.

"That was because you stopped me. If you hadn't...," John took a deep breath, "If I killed her... I would never forgive myself."

"She'll survive," George reassured him, "You know Eilene, she's strong and she won't give up that easily."

He glanced at Eilene again, feeling very guilty. The Wyrm was getting stronger and he only had a few more days, maybe hours, before he would lose this fight. He was getting dangerous, it was getting out of control. He knew that he was not going to make it as John much longer.

Ivan's POV

Ivan and Riley made their way up the deck and met the rest of them team. He spotted Jef, Zoey, and Irene talking about something that looked urgent and he wondered what it was. They looked up as they approached and relief filled their eyes.

"Hey," Jef greeted, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm doing fine I guess," Ivan replied, sounding a bit uncertain.

"Well, uh," Zoey asked, "Have you two had any weird dreams about some black egg, the Staff of Cycles and a star being split in half?"

Now that Zoey had mentioned it, the dream was fresh in Ivan's mind. He had been too busy worrying about the parasite that he had almost forgotten about the weird dream he had.

"You had dreamt it too?" Riley exclaimed.

Zoey exchanged a glance with the others, "Not just me but the others as well. We've been disscussing what it meant and why we all had the same dream on the same night."

"So far, we only know that the glittering staff is the Staff of Cycles," Irene added, "But we have no idea what the black egg is or the star."

"Lin has mentioned something about Dream Bringers," they all jumped and spotted Shane walking towards him.

Jef narrowed his eyes at him, "Have you been eavesdropping on us?"

"Sorry, I can't help but overhear," Shane shrugged, "but she mentioned something about some dark magic. Apprently, there are people who use some dark magic to send dreams to others. They call themselves the Dream Bringers but they've grown too dangerous at one time so the Greencloaks had to stop them. That has happened centuries ago and they were forgotten."

"So you're saying that a Dream Bringer had been sending us these weird dreams?" Irene asked.

Shane shrugged again, "It would make sense since Lin has mentioned it but I wouldn't worry too much right now. We have other important things to do."

Ivan turned and spotted an island in the distance. The Place of Desolation.

Weird dreams? Dream Bringers? What does Eilene know that the others don't? Will John make it to the talisman before he succombs? Will the team past the Place of Desolation and get the talisman? Will I end Ten Keepers in book two? Will Rollan and Meilin kiss again???

For the last question... THEY BETTER!
