The picture is a drawing I did of Clove. It's terrible quality.

"Hi."

That word hung in the air for a moment before Kid reacted, dropping the bag to the ground and enveloping me in his arms. I flinched at first, but wrapped my arms around him with a small laugh.

It was nearly a full minute before he released me. Kid took one breath of the air and frowned at Stein, "Quit smoking in here!"

Stein shrugged and blew out more smoke as Kid opened the window and put his bag on the bed.

Stein looked to Kid, "I have to go back to the academy." He handed Kid a small device, "Use this to call me if he shows up again."

My eyes widened, "Who? Did Jace come here while I was sleeping?"

Stein ignored me and walked out of the room, leaving the smell of smoke in the air behind him.

"Kid? Did Jace show up while I was sleeping?" I asked, biting my cheek.

"Yes, but don't worry, he's not going to get you back, I promise." Kid said, digging around in the bag he brought. He held up two pills bottles to me, "Are these your's?"

I nodded and glanced at the clock, "Yeah, I don't need to take them for another few hours though."

"You've been asleep for three days."

"I like to take them at five."

Kid sighed and put them on my bedside table, "I got some clothes from your apartment, a blanket-"

"I don't want it."

"Not even the clothes?"

"I can buy more."

The room was silent. Kid frowned symmetrically, staring down at the ground, "Raina... I'm so sorry."

"You don't need to be!"

"Yes, I do!" He shouted, and I winced, "I shouldn't have left town after I saw the two of you, and I should've figured it out sooner!"

"It's not your fault."

I pulled him towards me and hugged him tightly, like he would fall if I let go of him for even a second. I whispered quietly, my voice barely audible, "You don't need to be sorry, none of this was your fault..."

"How long has it been happening?"

I sighed, "Nearly... two years?"

"Two years..." He repeated quietly, his shoulders quivering slightly. "What did he do?"

"He-"

The door slammed open loudly and the two of us instantly turned to the sound, to see a younger girl standing in the doorway with a cringing expression on her face.

"Wow, I have really interrupted something in here~" She said, and stepped away from the doorway.

I let go of Kid and gestured for her to come in, "You're fine, come in."

She perked up, "Neat! You're Raina, right? I'm Clove. Clove Freece!"

She held her hand out for me to shake, and I took in her appearance. Clove had shaggy, stark white hair that hung in curls and knots down her back, with tanned and freckled skin. She wore a black t-shirt with a DWMA skull on it, as well as baggy, dark green shorts, and the biggest pair of boots I'd ever seen. Despite how ridiculous it sounded, she actually looked cute in it. She couldn't have been more than fourteen, but she gave off the vibe of an eight year old.
