Kaldonna screeched as she was thrown bodily across the cockpit, the ship executing a sudden flip.
"Who the hell taught you to fly?!" Kaldonna demanded, pulling herself to her feet. She staggered to a seat and buckled her seatbelt furiously.
"I taught myself," Anakin replied smugly, spinning the Twilight to the left to avoid a hail of laser blasts, then to the right to dodge a giant rock - part of the asteroid field they were flying through.
"It shows," Kaldonna grumbled, gripping the edges of her chair.
"You get used to it," Ahsoka assured her from her seat as co-pilot.
"Kaldonna, I need you on guns," Anakin ordered.
Kaldonna muttered something about the impossibility of hitting a target with Anakin's fancy flying, but found the gun controls and started firing back.
Their pursuers were some fifteen or twenty vulture droids, a parting gift from General Grievous after they blew up his ship. The general himself, as always, had unfortunately escaped the explosion.
"Are you even trying?" Anakin asked.
"Of course I'm kriffing trying!" Kaldonna snapped back, hammering the firing button.
"Well your aim needs work!"
"Your flying needs work!"
Anakin looked at her, agahst. Ahsoka punched his shoulder.
"Skyguy, focus! Deal with your wounded pride later."
Anakin growled, but returned his attention to flying. They'd almost cleared the asteroid field.
"Got the navi computer programmed, Snips?"
"Yep, ready to go."
The Twilight did another flip, rolled over the top of an asteroid, and soared into open space.
"Now!"
"Engaging hyperdrive..."
The stars blurred, and with a groan and a lurch the Twilight fled back to Republic space.
