Frostheart quickly licked Goldkits head fur down flat. She was hurrying to clean the four kits. Pinestar had just announced the kit's apprentice ceremony was at sunhigh. She herded the four kits outside and toward the center of the clearing. The clan was starting to gather for the ceremony. Frostheart wondered who the kit's mentors would be and also reflected back on her apprentice ceremony.
Pinestar exited his den and stood in front of the gathered cats. Frostheart watched his eyes circle the clearing stopping at Lionfur who sat at the back of the gathered clan. Then Pinestar's eyes looked down at the four kits sitting in front of him.
Frostheart also noticed the four apprentices gathered waiting to welcome the kits to becoming apprentices.
.............................

Frostheart was satisfied with her kits mentors. Bronzepaw got Mountainpeak of course, Goldpaw got Dusktail, Silverpaw got  Snowwhisker and Heartpaw got Ashclaw.
Now the apprentices were out with their mentors. Frostheart stretched. She then walked over to Acornpelt. "I'm going hunting. Is that okay?" she asked he nodded. Frostheart left the camp. She followed one of the streams to her favorite tree. She had been told again not to climb trees because of her missing tail but she couldn't help it. She climbed up high to where she was unseen and watched the forest.
She soon heard paw steps. She looked down to see Lionclaw and Lilythorn walking below. Lionfur rubbed  his head against Lilythorn. "Our kits will be beautiful." he meowed happily. She nodded. He looked over at her. "Whats wrong?" he asked.
"Its just that you already have four kits and I'm afraid you might not care for these kits as much as them." she meowed. He looked at her. "As soon as Frostheart told me she was expecting I pushed her away. Thise kits mean nothing to me. But these kits do." he meowed. "And anyway I don't even think they know i'm their father." Lilythorn nodded.
Frostheart's fur felt liked it would burn off with the anger she felt. "I don't care if you don't love me." she thought. "But i do care if you don't care about our kits." She watched as the two cats walked away. Frostheart went back to camp catching two mice. She dropped her catch on the fresh kill pile. The clan seemed to realize not to bother her because they shrunk away from her.
Soon Lionclaw entered the camp followed by Lilythorn. Lionclaw froze in his tracks as he saw her glare.. Frostheart's four kits sat with the other apprentices watching. Lionclaw moved in front of Lilythorn.
"What do you want?" he asked his voice shaking a tiny bit. "You should watch what trees you decide to stop and talk under." Frostheart whispered. Lionclaw's ears flattened. "Now my question is why are Lilythorn's kits more important than my four?"
Lionclaw stiffened. "Because I actually love the cat having them." he stiffly replied. He was obviously wanting to see Frostheart flinch but she didn't. "You did love me but why did you stop loving me?" Lionclaw glanced at Frostheart's tail than quickly looked away. Frostheart's ears flattened. "Because of me not having a tail..." she whispered. She walked closer to Lionclaw his tail swishing back and forth.
Lilythorn pushed in between the two cats. "Stop acting like a kit." Lioythorn growled. Frostheart stiffened. "A kit? He's the one hiding behind a pregnant queen." Lionclaw pushed foward. "Do you want to fight?" he asked " because that seems to be what you want." Frostheart looked him in the eyes. Ice Blue into forest green eyes. "Why would I fight? I would win and you will be left looking like a piece of crow food. He growled and pounced. Frostheart moved out of the way tripping him with her paw. She backed away. "Why are you attacking your clanmate?" she asked. "Your not my clanmae." he meowed. "As soon as you left you became an outsider!" he lunged again this time not letting her slip out of the way. He bit her paw. She clawed his ear than his belly soon they separated. Glaring at each other.
"Well at least I care about my kits and have always been there for them." she meowed standing on all four paws ignoring the pain in her paw. He glared back and walked to the medicine cat's clearing. Frostheart watched as he walked away followed by Lilythorn.
Frostheart than noticed tje whole clan had gathered to watch. Including Pinestar. Frostheart sighed her ears drooping and looking down. She walked out of the camp. She started to run until she reached the edge of the forest. Looking at the setting sun. She looked up at the stars that were starting to speckle the sky. "Oh Starclan. I don't care if you give me the saddest life but please give my kits the happy lives they deserve!"
