Renesmee POV

I sat holding Jacob's hand. He has been unconscious for almost two days now. I never left his side. My parents never left my side, either. They were afraid something would happen again. I tried to convince them I was fine, but they said they would wait at least a week after Vladimir and Stefan were gone. They also said that Jake would be fine, and that I could go do other things then just stare at him, but of course I didn't listen. My cuts were nearly healed, but the one on my neck was taking longer. I could tell my parents were guilty. They could barely look at me.

Finally as I was reading a book, still holding his hand, his eyes fluttered open. His mind lingered for a second, and he spoke. "What—what happened?" I sighed in relief. He was okay. "Mom came and jumped at Vladimir. Stefan came running to save him. Dad wasn't much behind her, so he came for Stefan. Soon enough they were both killed. We brought you back here so you could rest. We told the packs so you don't have to worry about them. You've been asleep for almost two days..."

"Two days? I've been unconscious for two days?" I squeezed his hand. "Don't worry Jake," I said. "Everything is fine." He laid his head back down, but his eyes were kept open. I could tell he was day dreaming, probably trying to remember what happened. "I'm so sorry, Nessie. I knew you should have come with me or I should have stayed here. I'm really sorry," he said. He apologized too much. "Jake it's fine," I insisted. "I'm the one who told you to go without me. Besides, you need to keep trying to make everything your fault." He rolled his eyes. "Come on Ness, you do the same thing," he said ironically. I guess he was right.

Mom came in and sat next to Jacob. "You feeling okay?" she asked. They really amused me with mom and Jake's relationship. They could have been lovers, but instead he's dating her daughter. Weird. "I'm okay, thanks." She nodded and started to walk off, but Jake stopped her. "Bella?" She turned around in a half a second and raised her eyebrows. "Yes?" He smiled. I figured he was going to make fun of her in some way. "Billy says hi. And also, I love you." I could tell that Billy wrote him a letter, and that's what was in the safe. I had told mom and dad about it when they began questioning me about it. I can never keep a secret from them. Mom smiled. "I love you too, Jake. Now rest, you really need it." He obeyed and took a deep breath. Still holding his hand, I laid down too.

He put his arm around me. A tingle went from my head, down my spine, and into my toes. I loved that feeling, there couldn't be a single feeling as good as that in the world. He kissed my forehead as I squeezed his hand. He was stroking my hair as we both fell asleep on a cloud.

I woke up to feel a cold hand on my cheek. I opened my eyes to see dad standing there. "I'm sorry I woke you, honey. I like seeing your dreams more closely." I chuckled. "Couldn't be anymore creepier than that, could you?" I asked playfully. He didn't seem to get the playfully part, because he didn't smile. I looked up. Jacob was half awake, it seemed, because his eyes were halfway open. "What time is it?" he asked. "9:30 am. You slept the whole night," dad answered. My eyes widened in shock. "9:30? I usually don't sleep that much..."

"You haven't slept in two days, Renesmee. You were tired," he said. Well it was true, I hadn't slept in a while. I was too worried about Jacob. I got up to pull Jacob up. He barely moved, I did most of the work. I decided to cook for myself, because dad was on the phone. I wasn't sure where mom was—probably hunting. I saw a new phone on the table, most likely for me because Vladimir had broken it. I opened it up, and it already had all of my previous data on it. Though I didn't really use my cell phone that much, I still appreciated it.

I got some pancake mix and started cooking. I didn't bother to ask Jake if he needed some, I heard his stomach growling a lot last night. I made his first, and put the plate in front of him. He smiled and kissed me, as I kissed him back. I went back to fix me some, and by the time I got back he had already finished his six pancakes. It really amazed me how much werewolves ate.

I had drizzled mine with the donation blood we had spare of. Jake grimaced when he saw it, but I knew he had a strong stomach, so I didn't worry about it. I turned on the tv, handing him the remote. I honestly didn't like tv all that much, it seemed all a little boring to me. But he turned it on football as we watched each player get tackled, thinking that was nothing. "So what was in the safe?" I asked when a commercial came on. "Well, there was a note and a picture, basically. You were right, though, it really was only supposed to be me who saw it. It was a picture of me and Billy when we first fished." His eyes started to water. I shook my head. "You don't have to tell me right now," I said. He wiped his eyes.

"I know I know, you probably think I'm such a cry baby." I laughed as he did. "Actually, you are the strongest person I've ever met." I could tell he doubted it, but it was true. Looking that he didn't kill me when he got mad, took responsibility for his actions, volunteered to sacrifice himself for me, and didn't throw up when I was eating blood on my pancakes clearly proves he is strong.

"I don't know, Emmets pretty strong," he said still smiling. "You know what I mean," I said stuffing my mouth with a piece of the pancake. He gagged, but I ignored him. When we were done, I took our plates, washed them and put them in the dish washer. I was back by three seconds. "Not bad not bad," he admitted. Football flew by quickly, as the Steelers won. Neither of us were really on sides, but we bet on who would win. He won, though, probably because he knew more about football than me.

I heard my mom calling my name and Jacob's from outside, so we headed out to the porch. They were standing side by side with a tiny box in their hand. "We have a surprise for you," they both said at once. "Oh what is it this time," he said as I kneed him. It didn't really hurt him, though. "Just take it," dad said. I took the box unsure. "Is this for both of us?" I asked. They nodded and smiled. I smiled back and opened the box. In the box were two fake passports and ID's, and plane tickets to Isle Esme. I had never been away from home before since they never let me. The ID's and passports said "Vanessa Wolfe" and "Jacob Wolfe." This is what mom left me in case I had to leave the fight with the Vulturi. That didn't happen of course. The only thing different was it was a different place, obviously because the tickets before would have been long expired.

A huge smile appeared on my face. I handed the box to Jacob and ran to hug my mom and dad. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love it!" They hugged me back and smiled. "Glad you liked it. It's this weekend, so you'll have about three days till you leave. You'll only be gone for three days, too. We wanted you to see Isle Esme, and to be able to experience it," dad said. Jacob came behind me to hug me. Maybe my parents weren't so bad after all.
