"I can't go i have work tonight" I sighed calling with my best pal becky.
"Ah come on mate Lexi you have to go, for me" she whined
I looked at the time "how late at yours?" I asked her "seven, cheers Lexi!" She exclaimed
I rolled my eyes and got ready
I stepped into my car and drove to becky's
It was cold, dark, and rainy like usual.
After a short drive i hopped out of my car and walked towards becky's house
"Oi oi sweet cheeks" a man said looking at me with a smirk "piss off you wanker" i spit
I heard becky's front door open
"Hello lid!" She yelled "oi!" I yelled pulling her into a hug
We stepped into my car and drove off
"So who are we seeing?" I asked driving to a venue i never been too
"Catfish and the bottlemen, they're class, and the drummer is fit" she said
I looked into the mirror seeing her smiling
"What kind of music?"
"They are an Indie rock band" she said
I nodded "that's nice i suppose"
We arrived at the venue
"I'm actually so excited!" She yelled
I laughed "I can tell yeah" I chuckled
"We have to meet them afterwards yeah?" She asked me "till how late are they playing?"
She looked at her phone
"Eleven" she said i nodded "yeah that's fine" i said nodding while we entered the venue
She smirked "this is going to be class"
We stood second row and "alright so the leads singers name is van-" she started "I don't have to know, it's not like we gonna be friends with 'em Becky mate" I chuckled
"Your such a twat sometimes you know?"
"I love u more" I joked looking at her
The lights went of and green ones flickered trough the venue "hello we are catfish and the bottlemen thank you for coming tonight!" The lead singer yelled when three other guys came walking on stage as well.
The crowd went wild, me and Becky were pretty cool about it and just clapped
Of course Becky wasn't showing them she was a number one fan, she wanted to shag the drummer after the gig.
I chuckled and shook my head
"This song i called homesick!"
The lead singer started strumming his guitar and the band started playing their song
And they didn't disappointed me, they were class as Becky said
We danced along and enjoyed our night
After the gig we made our way outside
They weren't much fans, like 7 of them
Becky looked at me as if she wanted to cry of happiness, she told me how much she wanted to meet this band, but i didn't knew they're name until now.
"Ello love" the lead singer said to her
I stood next to her lighting my ciggy but without succes "here" a guy said with a hat handing me a lighter, I took it "cheers" I whispered lighting my fag "no worries love" he said, i saw and heard Becky talking with the lead singer and smiling around
I walked towards her but she was going for the drummer "ello love, can i sign anything for you?" The lead singer said, i looked up at him "nah, I'm here for my friend" I said he nodded "did you enjoyed the gig though?" He asked
"Yeah you guys were class really" i said
"Thank you so much" he said smiling with his crooked teeth
I looked over to Becky and saw the drummer and her getting along very well
"Ya mate is getting on with me mate, he's the drummer right?" I asked he nodded "yeah that's Bob" he said with a nod
I gotta say he lead singer was fit
"I'm sorry i forgot to tell me name didn't it? My name is van" he said offering his hand
I took it and nodded "Lexi, nice meeting you van" I whispered with a smirk on my lips
"Lexi" Becky said "yes lad?" I asked her
"Bob asked me to drink a beer with him in the bar across the street, you two wanna come?" She asked us "yeah sweet" van said with a nod
I looked at him then at Becky giving her the 'you owe me one after this' look she smiled
"Iet's go!" She exclaimed
I sat in the pub and looked at van who was drinking the last bit of his beer
I looked at Becky who was practically making out with Bob "fun night innit" I joked looking at van he nodded "had better ones" he chuckled
"So rockstar, where are you at tomorrow?" I asked him "still in Leeds actually " he said with a smile lighting a ciggy
"For how long?" I whispered looking at him putting my elbows on the bar
"For three days, we have the last day off, the gigs over here are mad! You should come sometime again" he said with a friendly smile
"Ill think about that" I whispered smirking
He nodded "oh? you will actually think about it?" He said raising his right eyebrow
I chuckled "I will actually" i whispered he nodded "amazing"
I smiled shaking my head, i wasn't getting off with a rockstar who was off to Sheffield the other night probably doing the same as he did now
"Can i walk you home?" He asked me
"Nice try rockstar" I whispered getting up
I walked towards Becky "let's go home, you are hammered and you have work in the morning so do i" I said offering her my hand she nodded
"I had a class night, love" Bob said
I looked at him, he wasn't as innocent as he looked i could tell
"Me too, I'll phone you sometime" she slurred he nodded "goodnight Becky" he whispered
"Night Bob" she whispered kissing his cheek
I made my way out of pub saying bye to benji and bondy, van just kept staring at me
I looked over my shoulder one last time
I walked towards my car with Becky helping her in
I run around my car and hopped in my car
"So you got his number then?" I asked her speeding off
She nodded smiling "I love him" she whispered
"I know you do" I said looking into the mirror seeing her smile
"You and van were pretty comfortable talking to each other innit?" She asked me looking out of the window, I turned on the radio and nodded "he was nice but not my type" I lied she just nodded
After a short drive we arrived at my apartment
I carried becky to my bed and messaged her brother that she was with me.
I sighed sitting on my balcony smoking a spliff thinking about what happened this night.
I chuckled to myself and walked inside
Bed time for me.
