The rise of Alt-Rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen brings with it recognition, fame, and compromise. Lead singer and founding member Van McCann has learned to balance all three of these over the course of the band's ride to fame, but there's one thing he's never gotten used to; loneliness. During a tour of the states and the writing and recording process of the band's fourth studio album, Van finds himself caught in a situation involving the girl he could never have, and her addiction to the toxic things in her life.

Hazel is working in the life she's comfortable with in the solitude of New York, where art is all she has. One day, she's met with a hurricane of mystery, humor and spontaneity named Van Mccan, a musician that captivates Hazel is is captivated by Hazel. Together, along with fellow band members Johnny, Benji, Bob and Larry, they'll travel across the world and learn things about them selves and the planet they live in.

It's hard, people talk and laugh and you don't know how much more you can take, especially when you find yourself falling in love with him. Van is home from tour and is exhausted. You're waken up by Van and Larry arguing in the kitchen, you diffuse the situation and look after Van by washing his hair, putting on face masks and getting stoned in the front room. Cute and sweet.

Van McCann was your average British burnout teenager. Barely graduated, could drink his weight at the pub, enjoyed cigarettes as well as smoking a few other substances. But he had ambitions, he always dreamed of his band traveling the world and selling out concerts one day, but that's a hard thing to start when you've got no money. When all the members agree to pick up side jobs Van must think a little outside the box and if babysitting for the brats down the street was the only way, so be it. However when their older sister Emily comes back from university, he might have a new incentive to stay.
