Vaughn's PoV

I ran over to the hole Rhys fell through with Y/N by my side. I felt fear course through my body and my heart felt like it was running a marathon.

I saw Rhys laying there still, not moving a bit. "Rhys, are you okay?!" I yelled down to his body. He started to move a little. "Rhys, are you dead?!" I yelled down trying to get his attention.

He eventually got up and walked into a more clear view. "I'm fine, and I'm not dead" Rhys spoke as he looked up at me.

"Oh thank god! You scared the hell out of me!" Y/N yelled down, holding the place above her heart. "Well it looks like there's no way down to help you in a safe way. So, figure a way out!" Sasha yelled down as Rhys started to look around.

"What's down there?" I asked, curiosity seeming to calm me down a bit.

"Uh... There's a bunch of old Atlas prototype stuff... some tech... there's like a few weapons an-"
"Where?!" Sasha yelled, jumping down to Rhys. "Too dangerous huh?" Rhys asked, but Sasha just grinned as she walked over to a button. I heard something click down below and suddenly Sasha freaked out.

Something good had to be down there.

I too jumped down, Fiona and Y/N jumped down with me. I walked down a few steps to see Sasha still freaking out as Rhys casually observed her.

I saw a red button glowing in the corner and walked over to it. It was button, meant to be pushed of course. I couldn't help myself!

As I pressed it, I assumed it would be more Atlas weapons or boring devices. A panel opened and in front of me appeared a vintage device! THE RETRO ATLASIO!
"Whoa! Hey! A retro Atlasio! I thought these things were just a rumor" I was so surprised!

Maybe next time I shouldn't ignore Atlas's style.

Y/N's PoV

As Vaughn freaked out about his new toy, I found another lone button by a console and I just HAD to press it.

The button relieved a F/C backpack, but it looked like it was made out of metal. I pick it up to examine it to see there there was a button right in the middle of it the bag.

I pressed it and it popped and I jumped as it started to unfold into something. I dropped it on the ground and let it unfold and when it did a F/C motor cycle was standing in front of me.

"Whoa! Where did you find that?" Fiona asked in awe. "It was here behind this button and it's mine now" I said as a pressed the same button on the side bike and it folded back into a backpack. I open it to see a small area where I could store stuff in. BEST THING EVER!

I pulled the 'backpack' on and it seemed surprisingly light. There was still one more button that seemed destined for Rhys and Fiona. "Would you like to do the honors?" Rhys asked as him and Fiona looked at it. "It's the last one... It's only right for us both to reveal it. That's the best part" Fiona explained, staring longingly at the button. They started moving toward the button slowly.

"Alright... big money."
Fiona and Rhys carefully pressed the button together and stepped back. As they did, the the floor started to vibrate. We looked as a pedestal rises from the floor and revealed a split medal disc. We all walked over to see two pieces, which floated in on the pedestal.

"So... is it just me, or does that look..."
"Incredibly valuable? Yeah. And there's two of them so I don't have to stab you" Fiona joked as they stared at the pieces.

Rhys grabbed one half of it and Fiona picked up her half. "Put them together. I think that's what you're supposed to do" I suggested and they both nodded in agreement.

The slowly put the pieces close to each other, until they snapped together. Fiona and Rhys let go of it and it levitated in place. Then it flipped over on it's side and showed, a map?

"Is that a map?" Fiona asked and I thought she was just stupid. "So, she's the brains of the outfit." I jumped at the sudden intrusion of that voice. The voice from earlier. "Is that... a map? I--I--I don't know, it's so confusing!" the same voice from earlier mocked.

Me and Rhys aimlessly looked around, trying to find the source for the voice. Why didn't anyone else notice it? "This ladies and gentlemen, is the Gortys project and it's gonna lead us to a vault" I looked even more and a saw a blue figure in between Rhys and Fiona, staring at the map in front of us.

What the hell was going on?!

I glared at the figure and was ready to pull out my pistol, but stopped. I felt my heart jump to the very top of my throat when I realized who it was.

Jack. Handsome Jack.

"And then I'll probably kill you" He said as he looked strait into Rhys's eyes. Rhys jumped back and screamed, scaring Fiona. How could they not see him? I stood in awe and almost felt sick. How was he here? What was he?

"Okay, here's what's gonna happen. You, uh... I'm sorry. Wh-What's your name again?" Jack asked. Just hearing him speak clearly made it hard to breathe.

Rhys couldn't find the words or his own name. Jack looked at the Hyperion logo on Rhys' jacket and started to laugh. "Oh, good. You work for me. I thought, I thought I was gonna have to get violent there for a second. Or more violent" He said as he started to walk across the room to a set of stairs. I stepped away from everyone and hid around a corner, so Jack couldn't see me. I observed from the corner and watch diligently as Rhys followed Jack.

"Come on! Time's a wasting" he stated as Rhys started to followed him up the stairs.

After a few minuets, I left Vaughn, Sasha, and Fiona to talk. I followed them up the steps and once again hid around the corner to hear their conversation. "Oh, you talk to much... I'm gonna have to fix that" I heard a familiar voice speak. I peaked around a corner to see that a blue hand was going straight through Rhys and he let out a scream like a little girl. In a moment of fear and rage, I moved from the corner, my fists clenched tightly. He was threatening my best friend and that was enough to piss me off.

"Hey!" I shouted, getting their attention.
