New Friends And Old Faces

Y/N's PoV

It felt like I could just sit there with Rhys forever. He just held me as I cried in his arms. My heart dropped when he let go and gripped my shoulders.

"You okay?" He asked looking at my red, damp face. I looked at him and nodded. We both started to head to the caravan where Sasha and Fiona were with August. As we approached the door, I stopped, rubbing my arms to release my nervous tension. Rhys turned to me before he went to open the door.

"Seriously, are you okay?" he asked in a serious tone. "Well, I think you know the answer to that. I'm afraid to face them right now, especially after everything that happened" I said. Rhys put his hand on my shoulder and lightly rubbed it. "They aren't going to be scared of you. Hell, even I'm not that scared. It was just a weird fight you went through" he said. Reluctantly, I nodded and he opened the door to the Caravan. letting me in first. Fiona and Sasha were arguing but stopped when I walked in. They looked at me worriedly.

"Hey, are you okay?" Sasha asked. I looked down and breathed in deeply. "I'm okay now. Are you guys okay?" I asked as I breathed heavily. "We're okay. Mostly. But I think Fiona is fine."
"Yeah, after I was released from my time under a damn rocket launcher."

I sat down next to Sasha and Rhys leaned against the wall. A second later, Jack popped up next to him. I turned away from him, trying to ignore him. He had pissed me off and thoroughly screwed us all over, including Rhys.

"Guys, guys... SHUT UP!" Rhys yelled as he walked in front of us. The caravan went silent as we looked at him. "I know what to do cause h-here's the thing... The piece is in Handsome Jack's office" he finished and everyone looked at him surprised except me.

"You pulled that out of your ass" August spoke. "Well check it out smart guy. Run it by Gortys" Rhys shot back. "Fine" August said as he reached for a button and pressed it.

"Hey put the little robot on" He said to it. "Listen, do you have access to a map of Helios?" August asked. "That I do" The little voice said.

"See if you can focus your scan for the beacon in Handsome Jack's old office" August said glaring at Rhys. I smiled at Rhys as he looked at me.

"Beacon detected! We've got a winner! I'm sending Rhys the location data now!" Gortys yelled. August stared at Rhys with disbelieve. "Let's see what we have here..." Rhys mumbled to himself as he pulled up a map. "Enhance" Rhys said and the map got bigger.

"Oh, so you can say that?" Sasha asked annoyed.

"So, What's the plan?" I asked. Rhys gave me a big smile. We then concocted a plan to get to Helios and get the piece.

Everything was finally coming together

August PoV (Didn't see that comin' huh?)

We were at the shop and Fiona and Sasha went to go talk with the owner and (Y/N) and Gortys stayed with me in the caravan.

"So, what's the story with our famous Vault Hunter?" I asked her and she looked at me. "Oh, I... I was a loner and had no where to go so I traveled all over the world and had new adventures".

"I was in prosperity junction and two Hyperion guards came up to me and said "hey, your coming with us". I didn't know what to do and I didn't understand, so I defended myself and tried to run. They both cornered me and I couldn't fight. I got pulled up and suddenly I was on a train".

"Vault hunters were on there and they saved my life. Some loaders came, but I saved their lives too by killing the loader's. We ran to the back of the train but there was a bomb in one of the carts. The train exploded and luckily we all survived and headed to sanctuary. That's when I became a Vault Hunter" She finished.

"Wow, you must have done a lot of stuff" Gortys said. (Y/N) nodded and looked back at me. "Hmm, What's the story with you and Handsome Jack?" I asked. She thought for a minute before answering me.

"Do you want the truth?" she asked, looking me in the eye.

"Yeah" I answered.

"Jack was my best friend. He may have tried to kill me but... he talked to me like I was the only one who understood him and like I was his only friend. He was there for me in my hardest times, and... and I'm the one who had to kill him" She said sadly.

"Well, sorry for your loss" I said and she laughed a little. "You should have told me that 4 years ago" (Y/N) said smiling at me with a raised eyebrow.

"My friends are the only one's there for me now" She said.

"Hmm" I wasn't sure what to say. "Am I one of your friends?" I asked weirdly. She smiled with a chuckle and nodded to me and I smiled at her and winked.

"Hey guys! You can come into the shop now" Sasha said as she opened the door to the caravan. Me and (Y/N) got out of the caravan and into the shop.

Hmm, I made a new friend and she's a badass.

(Y/N) PoV

I was so excited to see Scooter again!

It had been a while sense I had seen him. We walked into the shop and the first person I saw was Scooter. His face lit when he saw me and I smiled.

"Hey Scoot" I greeted. He ran up to me and hugged me and I hugged back. When we let go he said "(Y/N), how come you never told me you were a siren?".

I was surprised but then glared at Sasha and Fiona.

"What? You know we can't keep secrets" Fiona explained.

I rolled my eyes.

"Well Scooter, I didn't find out about it until yesterday" I explained. "Oh... Oh man! Lilith is going to be so surprised!" he yelled.

"Yeah" I said slowly.

"Okay guys, here's the money for you outfits. Fiona should fit in on Helios, but you Sasha? No way, man" August laughed and I giggled a little.

"And (Y/N) should be fine" August smiled at me.

"Oh, okay" Sasha scoffed.

I went and sat down at a table. I thought for a while until someone came into the shop. I looked up and saw Rhys enter with something in his hands.

"Rhys!" I ran up to him and hugged him. "Oh, haha. Hey (Y/N)" He said to me with a smile. "How did it go?" I asked. "Well, there were some bumps in the road, but I'm fine" he said.

I looked down to see something tan and red in his hand. "Uh, what is that?" I asked. He looked down to see it too.

He held it up and it was a face?

Wait...

"Uh, Rhys is that...?" I asked and he nodded with a nervous look.

I was gagging and stepped back. Rhys laughed at my reaction and I glared at him. "What the hell happened?" I asked. "He, h-he exploded" He explained. I rolled my eyes and smiled at him.

"Okay, go do you stuff, Rhysquez" I laughed at him. He smiled at me and walked off. Fiona was done choosing her outfit and she honestly look really good. Sasha came over to us and she looked the good too.

After a few minuets Rhysquez came over. "Whoa, that's really convincing" I said in surprise. "Is it?" he asked as Vasquez. This is was sooooooo weird!

"Yeah, I mean... You look like a complete douchebag" Sasha said next to me. "Excellent. That is the look i was going for" He said. "This is-" He said turning off the voice "- Eeh, definitely weird" he finished. I smiled and walked away with Fiona.

Helios, here we come!
