Chapter Two:
Cassie was jolted awake at the sound of clashing metal. She immediately sat up, and was instantly aware she wasn't home, in her own bed. The giant king-sized four-poster bed was definitely not her own semi-comfortable double. If the size hadn't tipped her off at first, the sheets would have. They were the most comfortable things she had ever felt; it was as if she were floating on clouds. As she snuggled into the sheets, the sound of clashing metal sounded again. She wasn't sure what it was, but she figured it couldn't be too bad, seeing as where she was. She glanced around the room and finally noticed the sparse environment. Aside from the huge bed, there was only a single dresser, a walk-in closet, and a bedside table that had a lamp on top of it. There was nothing to inform her of where she was or who had-
Then Cassie remembered everything from last night. The demons. The strange, but incredibly attractive man. The fact that he too, controlled the fire element. The way he saved her. Then, realization hit. She was probably with him, her savior.
Pushing the covers aside, she jumped out of bed, and then froze. She was only wearing her bra and panties. She hastily looked around the room, but didn't find any trace of her clothing. With new found annoyance, she pulled one of the thin sheets off the bed and wrapped it around herself. Then, she stalked to the door and pushed it open. She was surprised that the door was locked, but nonetheless, she walked out. She stood in the hallway only to jump when the sound of metal hitting metal reached her again. Only this time, the sounds kept reoccurring. Cassie decided to follow the sounds; maybe they'd lead her to her pseudo-savior. She walked down the stairs and the sound got louder, more consecutive. When she walked down another hallway, the sound seemed to be coming from the last door. She went to it, not caring what she'd find, and opened it with a twist of the knob.
Her eyes immediately went to the two shirtless men who were sword fighting. They didn't stop at her entrance, but continued on. Her savior looked the same-dark, tall, incredibly powerful. His opponent was just as dark, just as powerful, tall, only he looked more... sad? It made Cassie wonder if he had ever been happy in his life. She noticed that he also had a scar on his chest, only him, unlike her savior, had what looked to be dozens of them. Some were ragged, some straight, long, short... they all looked like they were painful. Apparently her presence wasn't unwanted, for a woman, walked right up to her and smiled before she pulled Cassie into a hug.
"I am glad you're awake," she said, pulling back. "I see you are well?"
Once separated, Cassie looked at the woman. She was simply...beautiful. She had mahogany hair that reached her waist, the brightest green eyes, what looked like incredibly smooth fair skin. She was wearing a tight leather top that ended just below her breasts and leather pants. Cassie wasn't sure why, but the look fit the woman perfectly. There was something wild about her. The only thing that set off her look was the very mean looking bruise that she had across her neck.
Cassie finally realized the question the woman had asked. "Well, besides not having clothes, I'm great." She forced a smile.
"Oh yes. I'm the one who took them off. I didn't think you'd want to sleep in your dirty clothes."
"Oh. Thank you, but do you think I could have them back?" Cassie wanted her clothes and then she wanted to get out.
"No."
No? "Uhm, I don't see why not." Cassie was starting to get irritated. She just wanted to get her stuff and go.
"I disposed of your garments," the woman said seriously.
"Than what the hell am I going to wear?" Cassie said, raising her voice.
"You shall wear something of mine, or Khalyn, if you prefer." It was then that Cassie noticed another woman. She was the complete opposite from the first. Unlike the first, she had black hair, flowing straight to the middle of her back, pale blue eyes and was probably an inch shorter than the first. She was wearing leather, just as the first, only her top covered her entire torso. She was beautiful as well.
