*Three months later*

ELLIE POV

We were on the bus headed for the field trip from Hades and Nancy Bobofit was throwing her sanwich at Grover. He wasn't doing much to stop it, just wincing every time damp tomato slapped him in the face. It was painful to even watch. 

'Stop that!' I ordered and she glared at me but stopped- everyone who knows us likes us, but we don't know why. We're not exactly the friendliest- I'm socially inept, and Cathy's way of dealing with people is to either scare them into submission or just waltz through them like a cloud. 

'Almost there now!' Mrs Dodds said, smiling at the busload. Every time I saw her I felt like punching someone or shuddering; she was a Fury, and only we knew it. 

Percy looked at me sideways. 'Are you feeling all right? You've stopped word-vomiting.'

'Fine!' I snapped. Cathy raised an eyebrow at me. We both knew when I shut up for more than a few minutes something was wrong and I very well wasn't going to say hey Percy, your math teacher is a hell demon bat thing. 

'Go strangle yourself with seaweed, kelp-head.' Cathy said instead, not really helping. I looked at Chiron and Grover, who were both staring at us. She was being way to obvious, I thought. Cut down on the sea puns. 

The bus stopped outsde the museum and all of the schoolkids piled out in a squabbling, yelling mess. I stayed behind, kind of scared of large crowds. Well... I was pretty much scared of anything to do with people.

Chiron and Mrs Dodds pushed us through the doors of the museum and I stuck close to Cathy, Percy and Grover as the tour guide launched into a speech. Dull, boring, and he had half the facts wrong.

It was boring, to say the least. We already knew all these myths and I could see Chiron trying not to nod off. He saw us bored and snapped, 'Girls, what is this?'

I grinned. 'A marble model of satyrs worshipping Pan. He was a nature god and is now believed to be dea... ah, I'm dead of boredom.' I covered up my slip clumsily and to distract Chiron and Cathy, I turned and saw Grover making eyes at us.

'Well done.' Chiron said grumpily and slightly suspiciously, and the tour group went on.

We came to a Greek statue and Nancy started messing around again. Percy turned and said, 'Will you shut up!'

Everyone laughed except us and Chiron stopped his story. 'Mr Jackson.' he said. 'Did you have a comment?'

I saw Percy blush. 'No, sir.'

Chiron pointed to an image on the stele. 'Perhaps you could tell us what this represents?'

Percy thought for a moment. 'That's... Kronos eating his kids?'

'Yes,' Chiron said. 'And he did this because...?'

'Well, Kronos was the king god...'

'God?' Chiron pressed.

'Titan.' Percy nodded. 'He didn't trust his kids, who were the gods, so... um... Kronos ate them, right?' he looked pleased. 'But his wife hid baby Zeus and gave Kronos a rock to eat instead. And later, when Zeus grew up, he tricked his dad into barfing up his brothers and sisters. So there was this big fight between gods and Titans and gods won.'

I could have clapped. This was like the movie, except ten times better. Then, Nancy said, 'It's not like we're going to use this in real life.'

Chiron sighed. 'In answer the excellent question, Mr Jackson, why does this apply in real life?'

Percy shook his head. 'I don't know sir.' 

Cathy laughed and hand signaled to me, "We know." Chiron saw her and threw us a puzzled look when I signed back: Yes. Ah, memories of those boring days when we literally had nothing better to do than invent sign language all of our own.

'Moving on,' he siad. 'It's time for lunch.'

As we left for lunch we four were about to leave when Chiron pulled us behind. He looked sad as he said, 'I want you, Miss Meadows, Miss Meadows and Mr Jackson, to learn the answer to this question although- I fear some of you may already know.' He stared directly at me and my twin. I felt kind of like a bug under a magnifying glass.

Percy muttered something about trying harder and left. I followed suit even though I knew what was going to happen next, and I wasn't going to enjoy it.
