Underwater Love

Boat Day

Jack's POV:

I was waiting in the cave with my two fishes and they were helping me organize my shells and kelp. I'm waiting for Mark to get here again. There are new lobsters and crabs that are outgrowing their shells and I want to get them. As I waited in my cave, I heard a noise, like a horn or something.I carefully looked around to see and I saw a few humans that were actually coming close to the cave. I swam deeper in the cave and hid so they won't see them. The humans were looking at different fishes and different kelp and everything. I made sure I wasn't being seen and I observed the humans. They had machines of some kind and it made a strange beeping machine. They scanned everything around them and the machine made a weird deep beep. My two fish friends stayed with me and huddled me so I would be calm. Then, one of the humans came in the cave. They were......talking, how? My thoughts were cut off by the men coming deeper in the cave. "Hey, I thought I got some feedback on the tracker, come look at this." They held up the machines and started "scanning" i think and they were going around. They came closer to me and then my fish friends came in front of me and swam towards the men. "Ahh, fucking stupid fish." "Maybe the cave is interfering with the pulse." "Maybe, let's go back to the boat." They swam back out and my fish friends came back. I swam to them and hugged them tightly. I followed them out the cave and I saw a hand and feet. I smiled and surfaced a little bit to look around. I saw Mark looking worried and nervous. I swam towards him and spit water in his face to get his attention. "AHHHH" He screamed as I continued to squirt water in his face. "Hey, Jack" "Hey Mark." "God, I was so worried, I saw the men with the tools in their hands and scuba gear and I was worried about if they find you." "Don't worry, they left with their machines and into, that" I pointed to the weird thing sticking out of the water. He giggled a bit and I was confused until he said something. "That's a boat Jack, let's stay away from that though" He sounded so sincere and protective. "Don't worry Mark, I'll stay away from the boat." He smiled and got into the water and I put the bubble around his face. "Let's just, stick around the cave until it's safe enough to go further." I agreed with this and we started diving. We still had fun but the men would come every now and then and start searching again and it was jumbling a bunch of my nerves.  We hid in the cave and I started to play some of my favorite underwater games like catch the shell, tug n kelp, and etc and we had fun. I was beginning to grow tired and I swayed a little with the water. I started to fall into my sleep and started to fall on the cave floor. Instead of the hard ocean floor, I felt arms and they were hugging me softly and protectively and I cuddled into him comfortably. When I opened my eyes again, I felt tugging on me and I only could see darkness. I opened my eyes completely and saw Mark swimming faster and deeper into the cave. Then we stopped and in a fast movement, Mark held me closer to his chest. I then saw the human men that were here earlier. I looked up at Mark and I could feel his chest pounding out of his chest and him squeezing my hand hard. "Listen kid, you're holding something that could be a miracle and we need research" I got scared and held Mark tightly. "Jack, I want you to swim to our rock as fast as you can." I didn't want to leave, especially now. "Jack go now" I took a deep breath and let go of Mark and swam around the guys as fast as I can. I resurfaced and saw that it was dark out. I took short breaths and started swimming underwater. Then, I saw a net and before I could stop myself the net came closer and scooped me up. I held down and started swimming down so that I could at least break the rope a little. I saw a sharp piece of glass and started to reach for it but the net was too much for me. The net scooped me up too quickly and I was getting lifted up out of the water. I saw two figures in the distance and they were coming up fast. They got closer to me and I saw that it was Mark and the other human man. The net was almost out of the water and I was getting worried. Then, the net was swinging back and forth and Mark was right there looking at me. He looked around like he was trying to find something sharp. He finally found the sharp piece of glass and started slashing at the net. As I swam, I felt something sting in my tail. I looked at it and saw a gash deep and wide. I winced in pain and i saw the men coming for us. I felt the strong arms of Mark again and he started swimming with me in his arms. We kept swimming until we got to the shore and I was lifted up out of the water. He placed me down on the sand and I kept my tail in the water and tried to move my tail but it hurted too much. "Jack, you're hurt, did I do it?" I shook my hand and I placed my hand on his shoulder and started to lean on it. "No Mark, you didn't, but it does hurt." I winced once again and Mark looked worried. He then walked off somewhere and came back a few seconds later and he came back with his shirt. He dampened the shirt in the water and wrapped it around my tail. "Does that feel better at least?" I did had to admit, it did. I nodded my head and he lifted me up once more and he started to walked somewhere. "M-mark, w-w-where are we g-going?" "You're coming home with me, with those men around, you're in danger,I'm just making sure." I blushed as I gripped tightly around his neck and he continued walking. "Alright, I'm gonna put you in my car." He gently opened the back door and put me in and I got comfortable. "Jack, you'll need to stay low alright?" I nodded and laid down on the seat. I got a little comfortable and I started to look at Mark getting in the front seat and starting to drive. He looked back at me in the seat and he smiled at me in his way. The way that made me feel safe and secured. I felt myself getting a little tired and I got more comfortable and let my body go limp into going to sleep.

Mark's POV:
I was driving to my dorm and I looked in the mirror every now and then to make sure Jack was safe. He's asleep and that was perfect,he needs to be asleep to calm down. I got to the college and I saw the football and cheerleaders were out and hollering and hooting again. I parked away from them as possible and quickly got out of my car. I opened the back door and Jack was still sleeping peacefully. I smiled and picked him up carefully and started carrying him in the building. I closed the door with my foot and started to jog to the front of the doors which thank god were unlocked. I went upstairs to my room and the hallways were quiet and calm. Good. I snuck past some rooms that were open and just went straight to my room. I opened the door quietly as possible and looked into the room. Felix was nowhere in sight and I walked into the room. I walked to the bathroom and put Jack gently on the floor. I filled the bathtub to a good temperature and lifted Jack again and put him in the bathtub. I stopped the water and he got used to the water pretty quickly. He curled up a little and smiled a bit. I stuck my hand in the water and stroked his cheek. He smiled more and started to turn a little. I smiled and got up and walked out the bathroom. I looked on my dresser and spotted a letter on it. I strolled over there and picked it and it was from Felix. 

Yo Bro,

I'm gonna be hanging out with Marzia for one night so don't expect me home until tomorrow. Don't touch my shit while I'm gone.

I rolled my eyes at Felix's note and I placed it down on my dresser. I got my clothes out and started getting dressed into my pajamas. When I was done, I got into bed and fell into my deep asleep.
