"Daniel you're so annoying." I switched it back on. His fingers flicked it off. Mine flicked it back on. On and off, on and off. I looked up. An elderly woman was shuffling slowly across the road, and we wouldn't be able to brake in time.
"DANIEL!!!" I screamed. He swerved wildly, and I could see a shop window approaching. I felt my body lurch forward painfully as there was an explosive bang of splintering glass and the earsplitting sound of car parts smashing against the wall and my head was spinning and pounding, I couldn't see anything and I heard 4 faint words before the blackness completely enveloped me.
"Skyla I'm so sorry.."

Someone was repeatedly nudging me. I hugged my pillow, delving under my duvet away from the nasty person. But there was no pillow and no duvet, just a smoot seat behind me. I opened one eye cautiously, and it hurt to do so. All of the muscles in my body were crying out in pain. I could see Daniel, and blood was pouring from his head. I must have been dreaming; Daniel Parker was crying.
"Daniel! Are you okay?!" Everything was coming back to me now, the woman, the window, the crash. I heard a bang, and looking ahead of me I saw the horror. The smashed glass, the dust and mess everywhere. The windscreen was cracked all along it. Looking to the right of me at the door I could see what the bang was for. My door was jammed into part of the window we crashed into. Two people in crisp blue uniforms- paramedics- were trying to break open the door and rescue me. Looking past Daniel, two more paramedics were doing the same on his side. I crossed one leg over the other nervously, but I couldn't move it. Even trying to do so hurt me and I tried so hard that everything blurred around me in tears.
"I..I'm fine. I'm so so sorry Skyla, this is all my fault. Are you okay? You look hurt. Don't fuss over me, it's you who you should be worried about. You're hurt worse than I am." His gorgeous eyes filled with tears once more, and guilt and anger..at himself. I felt bad, and I raked my hands through my hair, but they came back sticky. I looked at them and they were alarmingly crimson. My head filled with pain and the car started spinning. The blackness enveloped me once more...
"We've got two teenagers that were in a car that crashed into a shop window this morning, a female with a severe head injury and a possible broken leg, keeps drifting in and out of consciousness. With her was a male driver, got a head injury and possible other injuries." Loads of voices and a familiar clean smell surrounded me completely. My body was jumping and jerking and being moved, I was laid on a flat surface.
"Take her to room 203 to be examined, that head injury looks nasty." I blinked a few times and adjusted my eyesight. Above me were two slightly worried nurses and a surprisingly handsome doctor. They were constantly moving above me...though looking down I realised that I was the one moving, I was on a hospital trolley.
"Hello, you're at hospital and you've been in an accident. Can you see how many fingers I'm holding up?" the handsome doctor was talking to me, holding up his right hand.
"Five."
"Okay that's good, your eyesight isn't affected. What's your name?"
"Skyla, Skyla Matthews."
"Okay, do you have a parent or guardian we can contact, Skyla?"
"My mum, though she's at work. My phone was in my pocket."
"That's good Skyla." We arrived in a clean hospital room and I was carefully put onto the crisp bed. Then the nurses left to get equipment so I was left with the doctor.
"I'm Doctor Hunt, you've got quite a nasty head wound there, as well as a possible broken leg. We'll X-Ray it for you and tell you the result of it."
