New Neighbors

It has been only a week since I’ve moved here, I hate it like I said earlier, I miss my old town, friends, and Tony. This Saturday morning I was feeling quite better since I slept in, my head was clear and hoped it stayed that way the rest for the day, I actually ate something today unlike the past week, I lost 3 pounds, I’m trying not to think of him. I hadn’t made any friends at school yet, Josh has, he’s mister popular, like back at our old school, it must be his ego or something. I got up for the day , I did the morning routine also eat breakfast, take a shower, and get ready like usual. When I got done around 12 p.m. my step father Brent left for work, so it was just Joshua, my mother and me.

I was in my room sketching two guys holding hands…a.k.a. me and Tony, Josh was playing video games and mother was working on her flower beds outside. I heard a loud truck outside my house 20 minutes later, it disturbed me, I went to look out my window…I seen I was getting new neighbors, knowing they were probably wanting to be chummy with us or come over a lot, not my favorite type of neighbors. My mom called out form inside the house “Josh and Alec come outside” I sighed and slipped on my leather jacket and shoes, Josh followed behind, we met my mom outside, seeing the view of movers moving shit into a house. I Stood their looking at the ground, not wanting to meet and greet knowing what my mother was making us do, she always made us since it was the polite thing to do. Two guys and a girl walked up to us and said “Hi, new neighbors! I’m Dahvie, this  is Sally and Jayy” he smiled, I didn’t bother to look up just yet.

Sally said “hey” and Jayy said “hey” with a smile also, he was looking at me I could sense it, I was good at those types of things. My mom nudged my arm to look up, my blue eyes gazing to the 6’1” guy, slender, tattooed, brown eyes, tight clothing, their was something about him that catches my eye. My mom said “”Hi I’m Stephanie and my sons Joshua and Alec” I just sighed and Dahvie said “it’s nice to meet you guys” he smiled sweetly to all of us, Sally just smiled and Jayy kept looking at us but he would keep staring at me a , meeting with my eyes a few times. Jayy finally said “yeah we needed to move away from all the damn drama and this place seems nice” he said to my mother I seen him get out a cigarette and leave to go smoke, my ex Tony used to smoke…it made me think of him and with out one word I quickly went for a walk crying thinking of him again, my mom called after me but I yelled “leave me alone!” I sounded as if I was crying, which I was. I didn’t come back till it reached dark, I seen him on the porch, Jayy, he looked so…handsome.

As I walked back up my road and the up to my sidewalk, I seen out the corner of my eyes him looking and staring at me, he walked over to me before I could reach the door, I felt my heart race a little as he stood on front of me, he was so tall.I looked up to him, I am only 5’7” and he looked down at me said “I didn’t get to really introduce my self, Dahvie did it for me, I’m Jayy, but I think you already knew that…is your name Joshua or Alec?” he said with a slight smile. I said to him “Alec” my voice sounded like I just got done crying, which was the truth. He said “nice to meet you, I know this isn’t any of my business you seem upset, do you mind me asking?” I sighed and said “I don’t really want to talk about it right now…sorry” I said as my gaze shifted to the ground. He said “well if you need someone to talk to, I’m here, trust me I’ve been through a lot of shit, I can relate, just come over whenever” he said still looking at me.

I just nodded and said “I need some rest, I’ll see you possibly tomorrow” I said heading into the house, Jayy watched me leave and he went back home, I went upstairs and heading to bed, but I thought of Tony again and cried myself to sleep again.
