"What's your address?" He asked as soon as I picked up the phone."What,why?"
"I guess you wanna stay where you staying for the night." I sucked my teeth and gave him my address.
"Be ready by 6 imma have my friend come and get you." I instantly shook my head. "Un-uh I'm not getting in the car with no stranger."
"Girl if you don't shut up with that shit, nobody want ya ass." I'm scared of everybody. If I'ont know ya name or never seen you before then I ain't getting in the car with you. I was told to run if a girl pulled up beside me and asked me if I wanted a ride.
I'ont care if they say they know my daddy or my mama if I've never seen them I'm supposed to run.
"If I get kidnapped and forced into prostitution my dad's gonna be looking for you." He kissed his teeth. "Man bye if the type shit you bout to be on I'ont even wanna see you tonight."
I sighed. "Alright Lucas, I'm just being cautious." He hug up and I placed my phone onto the dresser. Then went upstairs to pack

"Is that him?" My mom asked while peeking through the blinds. I shook my head no and placed my bag onto my shoulder. "So is that an Uber Driver?" Well it basically is, except he's receiving no pay.
"He's a friend of Lucas, Lucas asked if he could take me." She nodded her head lifting her finger from the blind and turning to face me.
"Just make sure you call me when you get there." "Okay"
Opening the door revealed an all red cameo. I pulled my phone from my back pocket while walking towards the car.
The window slowly rolled down showing a dark skinned boy with a low cut. "You Lucas friend?" He asked while brushing his hair upward tending to his waves. "Yea."I replied lowly but loud enough for him to hear. He nodded his head and reached over the seat to push open the door.
As soon as i got in I received a text from Sierra.
Sisi: Wya? You went ghost on
Nay: Call me. Didn't I tell u to call me?
After responding to her text I locked my phone and locked ahead at me. We've been in this car for at least five minutes,there's been nothing but complete silence. Minus the times when he talked on the phone.
I glanced out the window watching the droplets of ran hit the window indicating that it was raining. Which was a bit of a surprise to me since it rarely rains up here.
When the car stopped I quickly looked up thinking we were there. But there was a red light in front of us.
Before looking back at the window I turned to look at Lucas friend taking in a moment to admire his features."What?" He called out causing me to jump and quickly turn my head. Not wanting to meet his gaze. "Nothing." He chuckled and gripped onto the steering wheel as the light changed.
"What's ya name?"
"Nay." I said without making eye contact. I don't know why but I've always been shy around guys. Especially ones that I find attractive.
He's actually kinda cute. I thought to myself. I've never had a thing for darkskinned guys but he might just make me change my mind.
