"Hufflepuffs" shouted one of our prefects Gabriella over all of the chatting in the hall "Right this way." We all followed her down the long dark halls. Thoughts flooded my mind. Am I going to make some new friends? Will my new classmates like me? Am I going to fit in? Hopefully!...
After several flights of moving stairs (weird, I know but this is Hogwarts that we are talking about) and at last we came across a portrait. A portrait of a young girl with ginger pigtails and wearing a pink frilly dress.
"Password?" the little girl sang, waiting for Gabriella's reply.
"Bertie Botts" Gabriella said. Right, my first challenge. Remember the password. That should be easy... Not!
Smiling, the girl in the portrait moved aside to show us our common room. Brightly flickering lights of the fire illuminated the room. Yellow and black chairs surrounded the area and every head of Hufflepuff hung on the wall.
"Boys on the left and girls on the right" Gabriella said, moving us gently towards the stairs which lead us to the dorm room. Man, all of this excitement is making me tired.
A whole group of gossiping girls ran up the stairs to find the dorm. As I knew no one I walked up silently behind them. Every step people took came with a horrible loud creak. So no easy chances of roaming the common room at night then?
My dorm room was at the very end and as I opened the door I saw 4 velvet poster beds in a circle. The room was toasty and warm due to the fire in the middle which was roasting away. Luckily I am the only one in the room so I had some time to myself.
"Can I have the middle bed if that is ok with you" asked a girl behind me with a soft voice
"Oh um, yes of course!" I answered. She scared me for a moment.
"Thanks, I'm Susan Bones, nice to meet you" Susan smiled shaking my hand. She has had large hands and ginger hair with freckles.
"Charlotte or you can call me Charlie" Begging that she forgot it from when the sorting happened I did not mention my last name. I'm not sure how she would react if she knew I was a Malfoy...
"Out of my way!" A girl shouted, pushing me and Susan out of her way "Tricia Davies coming through!" Who does this girl think she is?
"Well is this the girl who disgraced her families' name" she teased
"Even if I did that you shouldn't say that it's horrible" I shouted. Couldn't control my anger
"Just face it Mouldy Malfoy, Your worthless!" she laughed meanly. Forcefully and rough, she threw me onto the end bed.
"Right you go to bed and have sweet nightmares about what your parents will do when they find out you're a Hufflepuff" she whispered giggling at me
I felt tear forming in my eyes. But I can't let her see me like this and how she is making me feel. Let's just sleep....

During the time I was getting dressed I decided not tell anyone about Tricia yet. Goodness knows what she would if I did. Without making a noise and avoiding the evil eye of Tricia I made my way to my first class of Hogwarts. Transfiguration.
I sat myself next to Susan who was already here and asked her not to tell anyone about what happened to me. She nodded slowly, obviously she wanted to. Happily I hugged her.
"So you're ok with me being a Malfoy?" I questioned
"Abstolutley, I don't care! You didn't follow you know who"
Yes, my parents followed Voldemort (I'm not scared to say his name). When Harry defeated him everyone thought we all would be safe. However a feeling of him coming back haunts me.
